How many threads did YOU personally start making sure we all knew that the tea party was racist. You my friend are a fucking hypocryte.

V
Me saying the tea party is racist is not the same thing as me saying the left is not racist.
But you didn’t make a statement along the lines of what Drewh said. I agree with him, in that everyone has some degree of racism in them. You in another thread tried to point out the racism in the Tea Party People, but no one else.

You applied a universal label to only one group of people. You are just like Geithner, apparently he felt everyone should pay their taxes, except himself.
I’ve never put anyone on the ignore list because I don’t like censorship and feel even a blind squirrel is going to have a good post once in a while. But I don’t know if I can take thefederalist anymore. His blatent leftist agenda knows no bounds. He is flat out dishonest, which I really find disturbing (but expected). I just don’t know if I can stomach him anymore. I mean when we take back control and in 50 years a conservative gameplan gets america back on track and things are vastly improved as far as the quality of life and amount of freedom each citizen has. Is he going to still be pushing for big governemtn or will he finally say, Ok Ok, you guys were right, this freedom thing and this small government thing really does help the little guy the MOST.

I’m not pro-Big Gov’t, whatever the hell that means. You’re lumping my positions together with those of other people and some preconceived notion you have about liberals. I’m pro regulation of the financial services industry. My interests are in Econ and Finance. In many other ways I’m very much a libertarian and a believer in states’ rights.

But, I do have a general suspicion of fanaticism and hyperbole. I don’t like the tea party because they gobble up fox news garbage like it’s coco puffs (NB: I don’t watch MSNBC). When people say that they’re being educated by Fox News editorials, I’m questioning their baseline level of intelligence.

In short, the left and the right are ALWAYS wrong. The right answer is usually somewhere in the middle. You’re sick of me because you can’t tolerate that other people disagree with you in some narrow respect.

No thats not why I’m sick of you. I would REALLY like to see these libertarian type leanings you have. Do you have anything to reference that I might look at? Some old posts perhaps? A lot doesn’t get by me, but something certainly could have.

V

Fed,

I think you should stand your ground firmly. If you think Tea Party people are racist, then so be it. This switch hitting position you have taken is a bit disturbing. Why be ashamed of how you feel. This is me, this is what I think, agree with me or not, it ain’t gonna change. You wanna call me a racist, a xenophobe, a moron, an idiot, a redneck, hillybilly, and all the other bullshit that has been said about people who disagree with Obama, so be it. But some of us don’t scare so easy. We don’t waver when the storm comes. And that is why we survive, because we know who we are, and where we came from.

Amen to the post just above the picture of the Union.

Now can we stop with the Tea party racist threads already? 2 can play this game, the only difference is I will bring proof. How about we all stop pulling the race card and start debating facts.

I’ll agree that most people, of any persuasion, who dogmatically follow their -ism, and more importantly, their “great leader” figures, without question, end up being explicitly or implicitly “racist” because they develop a an image in their head about what the world SHOULD be, and how different “types” of people SHOULD be acting/allied within the context of their in-their-head-world.

It’s a broader prejudice than racism though, it’s the same thing that happens when Ed Schultz pretends that every blue-collar working American should be staunchly pro-Union, or when Beck tells me that if I like my guns I MUST be anti-Obama. They are trying to decide what weight I ought to give to various issues, when I rate issues based on how I think they will actually impact my life.

It happens when politics becomes about personality and an identity instead of issues. When you’re “into” being in the Tea Party, or “into” being a Socialist, or what-have-you.

I’m repulsed by the social identities these movements try to create. I’m repulsed by the idea of being a Tea Partier, in the same way I’m repulsed by people who create their identity around being vegetarian. And it’s not because I disagree with every, or even most of their bullet-point statements of purpose.

Next week, Obama is coming to Los Angeles to campaign for Barbara Boxer, she is in deep trouble in the polls. I am going to go and see for myself, in person, what is really going on. With this being a very Liberal state, I am sure I will see something interesting, and I don’t mean it will come from Obama or Boxer.

AHAHAHA!!! Pictures and videos of racist signs, videos of Tea Partiers calling Mexicans “wetbacks” and “filthy, stinking animals,” calling Obama a “fucking nigger,” and your response is “That’s not racist, and even if it was, it’s only a few people,” yet a couple soundbites and all of a sudden the entire Left (Ha again) is racist.

Do you actually think that any of your posts are reasonable, at all? I’m curious. I mean, it’s obvious to others that you are simply a propagandist, but is it obvious to you?

Foes of tea party movement to infiltrate rallies

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Opponents of the fiscally conservative tea party movement say they plan to infiltrate and dismantle the political group by trying to make its members appear to be racist, homophobic and moronic.

Jason Levin, creator of http://www.crashtheteaparty.org, said Monday the group has 65 leaders in major cities across the country who are trying to recruit members to infiltrate tea party events for April 15â??tax filing day, when tea party groups across the country are planning to gather and protest high taxes.

“Every time we have someone on camera saying that Barack Obama isn’t an American citizen, we want someone sitting next to him saying, ‘That’s right, he’s an alien from outer space!’” Levin said.

Levin says they want to exaggerate the group’s least appealing qualities, further distance the tea party from mainstream America and damage the public’s opinion of them.

Ryan, care to post here some of those accusations you just threw out? Or is it going to be baseless accusations again? From what I can tell I am the only one who has posted a racist sign which could be from a conservative. Because it was on a lawn next to a McCain sign, though, it likley was NOT from a tea partier. Since the Tea party was not supporting McCain back then. So you can add some evidence to your accusations or you can kindly shut the fuck up. John even said just a few posts ago, ok lets get back to the discussion, we don’t want to dwell on racism, we just want to debate the issues. Did you even read and understand that, John did this because you guys made 30 threads about the tea party being racist. All I know is that it is going to be a walk in the park if you are the best the progressives have to offer.

I just sent a link to that story to my local newspaper editor. I think this is a quick and easy way of taking action. Maybe he will pick up on a story if enough people let him know it’s important.

Ryan,

You had someone throw an egg at a Tea Party bus, with video proof of a black man holding an egg. Did he do it? Who knows. Does it look bad for black people? No. Why? Because I DO NOT CATEGORIZE A LARGE GROUP OF PEOPLE ACCORDING TO THE ACTIONS OF ONE OR A FEW.

You make it sound like Tea Parties are similar to Klan rallies.

This is getting fucking ridiculous…

"Friday night, the Governor's campaign fundraiser, Allee Bautsch, and her boyfriend were involved in an altercation in the French Quarter with a group of people.

While there were protestors around at that time, we are not aware of any evidence that the individuals involved in the altercation were protestors.

Allee's leg was badly broken in the incident, she has had surgery, and she is facing a recovery time of two to three months. Her boyfriend had a concussion, and also a fractured nose and jaw. They are both expected to fully recover.

NOPD is investigating the incident and we are refraining from further comment to allow them to fully investigate and ensure justice is done. Our prayers are with Allee. She is a strong person and we are sure she will make a speedy recovery."

"Allee Bautsch, chief campaign fundraiser for Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, and her boyfriend Joe Brown, were savagely beaten Friday night in New Orleans after leaving a Republican party fundraising dinner by a group of thugs who reportedly targeted the couple because they were wearing Sarah Palin pins.

Bautch’s leg was broken and Brown incurred a broken jaw and nose as well as a concussion.

The Hayride reports that a source who visited Bautsch at the hospital the day after the attack says they were told the couple was attacked for wearing Palin buttons:

Two people at the Brennan’s event have now confirmed that the protest had largely broken up by the time it ended, but we also understand from someone who visited Allee Bautsch in the hospital Saturday morning that she and Brown were followed and attacked expressly because they had Palin pins on (she heard one of the attackers say “Let’s get them, they have Palin pins on” - so the attack WAS politically motivated as its victims understood it. It was not a mugging, it was not an argument gone wrong and it was not a bar fight.

The story of a Republican and her boyfriend being viciously attacked for wearing Palin buttons has yet to make national headlines, unlike say, unfounded rumors of nasty words being said by Tea Party protesters."

Seriously dude? I mean SERIOUSLY? does Obama have to eat 10 babies on live television before you will admit that there are “factions” within the left wing of this country who are bad people and will do bad things on behalf of the left wing?

Perhaps it is time we push back?

Yeah, clearly I’m a left-wing extremist for posting her boss’s statement on the incident.
