The Last Time You Cried

I can’t remember the last time I cried but stupid shit like commercials or certain scenes in movies get me. what gets me EVERY TIME without fail is seeing a serviceman coming home from Afghanistan or wherever s/he’s stationed and surprising his/her family with a visit.

I remember the first time I thought it was ok to cry. my dad’s dad died about 7-8 years ago. we were the last to walk by his casket and view the body before they lowered it into the ground. I saw my dad blubber nearly uncontrollably. I had never ever seen him be anything other than a model for manhood before that. ever since then I feel tears welling up when I see/hear something touching.
By allowing himself to cry in front of you in such an appropriate situation of loss is the proof that your dad IS the model of manhood.

Well unlike alot of you guys, I cry (i guess) pretty frequently. Maybe because I’m a female, or because I’m hispanic (we cry out of anger) :), anyways me and DJ have 3 healthy teenagers at home (but as teenagers are) they do tend to piss me off, so I can’t very well beat the crap out of them like I would love to , so I cry. I cried just yesterday seeing a video of a mother ( daughter passed away in an accident) meeting the woman that received her daughter’s heart. I cry with movies, I cry because I miss my mom, I cry when I’m so pissed, yeah, I’m a bit emotional/hormonal, I guess. So if you watch the video linked down there, and don’t cry, you either can’t relate because you don’t have kids or have lost someone close to you, your having a really bad day and pissed at the world, or your tear ducts are clogged up.

I still love you anyway.
See what I mean…I’m tearing up right now. Sheesh, I’m a wreck.

It’s definitely a woman thing to cry when angry or frustrated. I think of it as a release, because I usually feel better after those types of cries.

I did this about 2 months ago after breaking up with my girlfriend. Dammit! I thought this 45 YO man couldn’t fall for someone that hard, but I did, and it hurt mightily.

I’m sorry for you. :frowning: Love’s a bitch. Messes your head.

The last time I cried was when my mom called me two months ago and said her and my dad were getting a divorce. It totally shocked me and I immedietly started balling on the phone and hung up out of embarassement. I still broke down occasionally about it even after that. Knowning my mom sacrificed her career and all her savings to put my dad through med school and raise my brother and I then all the sudden have the rug pulled out from under her in her mid 50’s with nothing to fall back on…that really got to me. I’ve never been completely blind sided by my emotions like that before, it wasn’t fun, haha.

Everybody hurts soometiimes.

Sounds like a majorly dick move. If you’re going to prepare something, an omelette isn’t exactly the most considerate food to prepare in this kind of situation - unless if this was her favorite food.

The part about going far from her sounds very bad too - even if it would feel impossible to be near her. I think he would have owed it to her to be around.

Sorry for your loss.

Aye

The last time I really cried was when a friend who was very close to me at one point in time … committed suicide while he was away at college. This was 8 months ago.

He had tried to call me about a week before while I was at work… I forgot to call him back and I really wish I had.

He had some big mental issues… a lot of traumatic experiences in his early youth and I was one of the few persons he trusted with said information. His parents didn’t listen to him every time he tried to talk to them… and had attempted suicide at a far younger age before. He was put in a state hospital when we were like in 9th grade for a few months and they did terrible things to him. I won’t go into detail out of respect for him; but it was really bad.

I dreamed of him a couple months ago telling me that he was alright and that he was happy. When I woke up… I shed a couple tears but realized that he probably is finally happy. He is dearly missed though. He was the smartest person I have ever known… a true walking encyclopedia. I think he was one of the few people who could have ACTUALLY changed the world.

Damn, KK. That’s so sad.

A couple of months ago I had to put our family dog down. Cried as I dug the hole, cried as I put him down, cried like a baby when I sat down to tell my kids. Then we all cried together. A couple of weeks ago my son’s girlfriend moved out of state. He did pretty well the weeks leading up to the move, but the day he had to say goodbye was hard. He came home, walked in the door and cried on his old man’s shoulder for quite a long time, and I cried a few tears with him.
