Cable Pull-throughs
71.65# 1 x 10
82.67# 1 x 10
93.69# 1 x 10 - I’ll start with this weight next time as it wasn’t that hard. I fucking love pull-throughs – thanks CBear for the idea!

I AM??!
I have started to notice that a lot of women were doing site references from here and I decided to see what the hubb bubb was about. Sadly since FA is not posting articles anymore. It was starting to get stale over there. And here I am, trying to read as much as I can =)
thought i would stop in to say hi. good to see you working your ass off. your dips are awesome. below i posted a vid of my best dips to show that even fat asses like me can do them:)

It’s been getting stale since january. HUGE drop in quality of posts, which lead to the death of articles. still, though, no one goes back to read the old ones.
Meat- my arms are sore just from watching that video! How true, though, “They all feel easy after the first one.”

I started reading FA last fall and got so. much. out of the articles and the forum discussions. So helpful when I literally knew jack shit about eating clean and lifting.
But I came over here for my information as soon as the new articles dried up. So, LJ - welcome! I’d love to hear about your training.

My workout? Not a darn thing at the moment. Cbear is going to kick my ass if I do not start soon, I just know it…hehehehehe
But I do have something planned out and will implement it soon.

Straight leg dead lifts, am I doing anything wrong here?
sorry for the hijack =)
Sweetie, whatcha waiting for on starting? taps foot, crosses arms, gives you “the look”.
For some good help on deadlifting, go to Meat’s help thread in the Over 35 Forum and post a link to that video. He is great about giving feedback and helpful cues.
Monday’s and Tuesday’s workouts were bike rides, moderate effort, about two hours each. And on Monday I did 7 chinups in a row - bested my old PR by one. I can almost TASTE 10 - the magic number.
Today’s workout
Back Squats
Bar 1 x 10 for warmup
65# 1 x 10 using a narrower grip on the bar and concentrating on pulling my scapulae together, not looking in the mirror, keeping my chest up. These felt pretty good.
75# 1 x 10 these mostly felt OK
85# 1 x 10 a couple of these reps had significant forward lean towards the end of the set when I was fatigued.
I’m still working on keeping my upper body tight. Not there yet, so I’m keeping the weights light. I did a better job with the new grip, pinning the bar to my body without really having to “grip” the bar with my fingers.
Skullcrushers with a 25# plate
1 x 15 reps
Seated shoulder press
17.5# 1 x 20 reps
Assorted walking lunges, bench step-ups, lots of ab work.
Cable Pullthroughs
93.69# 1 x 10 reps
104.71# 2 x 10 reps I finally found the weight where this exercise was challenging me - a bit less than my bodyweight. Next time I’ll start with this weight and maybe go up from here by adding a small plate.

ROUNDED BACK IN THE HOLE! other than that, not too bad! it might be easier to keep your back rounded/chest up if you spread your legs… i mean feet… just a little farther apart. and, roll around on a tennis/lacrosse/baseball on your hamstrings. great for warmup and recovery.
kimba gives u the look and taps her foot.
cbear slaps u upside the head and yells, “GET TO WORK, PUSSY!”
hi kimba.
nice training! ya know, since this is YOUR log n everything.

There are snacks on the table, cold beer in the fridge and (good) champagne in the ice bucket. Plus an open bar with top shelf liquor for the scotch drinkers such as myself. Its not a hijack but a PARTY. C’mon over!

Mmmm. Mojitos! Can I say “super delicious”? Turns out, I can.
I am fond of them myself. I also enjoy making jam. For awhile there, I was obsessing over creating the perfect recipe for mojito marmalade. I must have made 100 jars of the stuff, but it never turned out “just right.” I could make yummy marmalade and I could make pretty marmalade, but I could not make pretty marmalade that was yummy. Or at least, yummy enough…the margarita jam turned out awesome, though. Yes, after my first husband died, I was a bit insane for a time…who knows? Maybe I will perfect that recipe yet, and make a gajillion dollars.
