Good job!
Thanks Cal, Jack and Alisa! Luckily its not shorts-wearing season anymore. So there is no need to explain away the bruises to anyone. Battle scars of which I’m proud.
Not only did training go well today, but in a quickie shopping detour before a meeting I happened upon the perfect “fuck me” boots. Cute and not uncomfortable at all. Score!
Nice!
Squats: See? See? See? I told ya! You are awesome! ![]()
10 reps!!! damn woman…u dominated that shit.
i call those witch boots. =+P
excellent…happy day for you kimba!! glad you made that bar your bitch…
and new boots as well…![]()
Great squatting effort, that PR had to feel good.
Thanks spider, deja, t and joe! I’ll admit to being a wee bit concerned that I’d hit some sort of mental roadblock. But I think I was running into the difference between an evening training at the end of a long work day, and an AM training when I was fresher and yes, mentally less tired.
Does anyone else run into this: feeling stronger in the mornings than at night?
without a doubt i feel best working out around 11am. not always doable with a normal schedule… but luckily i don’t have a normal schedule.
i feel so sorry for those people who have to work out at 5am. ahhhhhh!!!
i need caffiene, food, and at least an hour of lazing around before i have any interest in iron.
Love the boots. I’m also best mid-mornings but work out between 7-8 on weekdays. It’s a bit early, but I prefer it to the evening when the gym is rammed (and also, I tend to cut workouts short in the evening due to wanting to get home, eat, play my computer game du jour and so on).
Hell yeah on the squats! Its because of shit like that you can rock the boots! My suggestion is to squat in the boots…im just sayin’…
How hot would that be though? Those plus the battle wounds, I can see it now! National Squat in your Fuck Me Boots day will begin with you! It will be epic…
Deja and Cal, so funny that you both mention mid-morning. On Wednesdays and Sundays I juggle my schedule to lift around 11 AM, and those are always my best training sessions of the week.
It does lead me to wonder, whether training at a “weaker” time gives me the same strength-building benefit, or a greater or lesser benefit than training at a “stronger” time.
BWG – If I weren’t absolutely sure the heels on them boots would pitch me forward and I would fold over like a taco, I just might.
FRONT SQUATS THEN! …im a problem solver ![]()

It’s weird, but I’m proud of my calluses & bruises. Moms hate 'em, lifters appreciate 'em.

Anyhoo, you’re doing something right, Kimba.[/quote]
Um, yeah, definitely the biggest LOTR fan EVER. Well, ok, maybe that’s a lie because there are a LOT of ringies (think trekkies or star wars crazies with elf ears). But nevertheless, props on the reference!
All of my lifts are off if I lift in the mornings. I need several meals in me to be at my best. Right around 1:00-3:00pm is my wheelhouse.
Kimba, it is so fucking awesome that you reached that goal. Now it is on to 125+…

I “think” Eowyn says that to Faramir in the Houses of Healing.
It is a relief to know someone else “thinks” that.
