Well, Europeans are racist as hell. So, I expect the citizens to act out and burn down a few mosques over this.
Good. Give them a taste of their own medicine. The “moderate” muslims are just as guilty as the crazy ones. They KNOW who the crazy ones are. But they turn a blind eye to the craziness. Next thing you know, people are getting killed.

We need to have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy towards radical RELIGION (christians blowing up abortion clinics are JUST as fucked up as muslims blowing shit up).

RELIGION is not a reason to KILL people. We need to move towards a more secular society and place significant restrictions on religion.
I’ve been thinking this way recently but more specifically toward Islam (surprise). Since more than three quarters of the world is not Muslim we should all demand that parts of the Koran be changed, outlawed and of course no longer taught.

I really think the only way to stop terrorism though is if we had a real asshole of a POTUS who would politely explain to the Islam world that if there is another organized terrorist attack anywhere in the world X city would disappear from the map. The city could rotate. One month we could announce the nukes are aimed at Tehran, the next month it could be Kabul. A nice little monthly announcement like “People of Islam, this month the citizens of Istanbul are counting on you to put an end to terrorism”. Make all of Islam our unwilling allies in the fight against terror.

Sigh… one can fantasize, right?
About mass murder? Why not?

While the National Gendarmerie in France are in general heavily armored (assault rifles, bulletproof vests), they are usually concentrated in immigrant suburbs (banlieues) due to high levels of violent crime. Small detachments (patrols of two to three guys) are usually placed around government buildings.

The massacre occurred in broad daylight in the heart of Paris, and it seems no one expected that. I’m not sure if the slain officers were part of a token squad car in front of Charlie Hebdo offices or regular metro/traffic police that only carry sidearms.

I’m sure we’ll be hearing about a raid by GIGN by the end of the week.

For better or worst this is only going to strengthen the neo-nazi groups or should I say ‘anti immigration’ protestors in Europe…

This is the thanks these Muslim’s give to the Western free world for letting them in to our countries so they can have a better life.

Murdering critics is a tradition that can be traced back to mohammad.

I’m woefully ignorant, but it seems as though Islam is a religion born of violence. You can’t divorce Islam from this root of violence any more than you can remove the lungs from a body and expect it to still live.

It seems as though this is no “moderate” Islam, there is only those Muslim’s who have become more secularized.

This type of attack is different from the garden-variety terrorist attack. Not in the manner it was executed, although significant, but rather the assult on Free Speech. This has got to stop. But I fear we will sit on the sidelines and continue to censor ourselves. I can’t wait for Bill Maher’s commentary.

Maybe they will try to Kill Bill next?

Don’t they have radios? Citizens don’t have an emergency number to call?

Any American cop is likely just to have a pistol, that makes sense to me, but in any american city something like this will be met with a swift, heavily armed response. Most likely the French are just lame, they prove this all the time, but the lack of response does get my conspiracy juices flowing.

If six guys stormed into your house with bad intentions and you had a gun, would you not kill them because that would be mass murder? You are only one so it would be better to let the six live instead of you?

You will say all the people of Kabul are innocent and an isolated incident by extremist doesn’t justify wiping out a whole city. Normally I agree but their religion teaches that we all have to die so as far as I’m concerned we are at war. Their religion is a declaration of war on us.

We are the world power and we are playing Mr. Nice Guy. What’s going to happen when we are no longer the world power? Do you think China is going to stand up for us? No, Those Muslim whack jobs will exterminate our asses as soon as they gain the upper hand. Before that happens they will succeed in slipping a nuke (or three or four) into US cities and blowing them the fuck up.

Within 100 years a nuclear devise will be detonated in a US city.

I teach my sons that if they ever get into a fight (neither ever has) I expect them to throw the first punch because that’s the smart thing to do. This is no different.

Their religion is an attack on free speech, among other things.

They’ve got NO problem whatsoever murdering us, why should we have any qualms about murdering them? And besides, in that scenario, they are WARNED what will happen. If they choose to do it anyway, that’s on them. Last time I checked, they kill us indiscriminately and without warning.

We nuked the shit out of Japan twice, and it ended WWII in the Pacific. Why all of a sudden do we have a problem doing the same thing?

Let us win your hearts and minds, or we’ll burn your damn huts down!

but, but not “terrorism” becuz “workplace violence”!

2 Billion muslims worldwide…5-10% crazy…math?

islam is a religion of HATE, not peace.

Let’s define what “hate” is:
-Drawing a distinction between one’s own tribe and those outside of it
-Drawing moral conclusions based on this distinction
-Placing one’s own tribe as “above” or “superior” to other tribes
-Advocating a different standard of treatment based on tribe membership
-Advocating violence against those of other tribes

The koran qualifies as “hate speech” on each count!

Apologists are correct in that the koran teaches “love and kindness”. They just fail to mention that it applies only to those WITHIN the muslim community.

I think it’s time we demanded that our elected representatives READ what that “religion” preaches and takes ACTION against it. Shut it down. Prosecute those who preach islamic beliefs for hate speech. THAT’S WHAT IT IS…

Terrorists not Radical Islamist Terrorists. Important point.

Except of course it doesn’t apply to women within the muslim community.

And yet during the middle ages they were more lenient to “infidels” than Christians were to “heretics”.

I’m no “fan” of christianity either - but besides the occasional abortion clinic, christians aren’t blowing people up. If you want to prosecute christians for hate speech while we’re at it, I have no problem with that. Religion just needs to go the fuck away. Killing in the name of “god” just isn’t cool anymore.

You’re in luck because that has been the trend anyway. I think why we don’t see as much Christian based terrorism is because Christianity has been on its way out since the Protestant reformation. No free thinking person can take it seriously. The places where religion, in general, has the most traction are in those areas where there is more illiteracy, poverty, and governmental mandates on religion.
