Not only do tens of thousands of people die every day but in fact we will all die some day. Does this mean that all jokes about death should be off limits?
At least the jokes are funny on this thread because some peoples righteous moral high ground sure isnt.
If people were making jokes about Farrah Fawcett’s death…would you be cool with that as well?
I’m sure people could come up with anal cancer jokes.
I hope people make jokes about my death. If I do it right, I’ll be naked, drunk and dong something cool. If you can’t make people laugh in life, at least you can make them laugh in death right?

If that is the case…I agree. But at the expense of my life?..and to tarnish it?..I would say no. [/quote]
A joke about pedophilia is not going to tarnish your life unless you were accused of it and like went to trial for it or something and then paid out a lot of money to make people go away. If people made jokes about me like that they wouldn’t be really that funny cause I was never accused of touching little boys.
It’s like this, my one buddy growing up was accused by two people of fingering a cat. Supposedly they saw it but he denies it every time. Well no matter We still make meow sounds to screw with him and he still gets pissed at us every time. But whatever, it’s all still funny to us even if you believe he did it or not. There has to be some correlation if the dude didn’t make a fucking kiddie land or whatever and have sleepovers, he probably would have only been called skeletor or something when he died. He chose his own path, and weather he is innocent or guilty, or whatever, I don’t really care. I’ll make fun of OJ whenever I feel like it, everyone already does. If the glove doesn’t fit, bla bla bla, and I like sports WAY more than I like Music.
So it’s not like these jokes are out there to cut down MJ and ruin his image or something, the news reports did that way back when. Were just having some fun now. I’m sure MJ would be happier if I was 9 instead of 29, but hey i’m 12 at heart so my laughter should please him a little.

Sure, why wouldn’t I be OK with that? Lets hear some of these anal cancer jokes.
I’ve always thought of “too soon” as before his loved ones are over it (assuming they WILL get over it, in which case before they have healthy time to get over it), myself. I mean, if you’re gonna make jokes, make jokes.
But I know if he was my brother or cousin or something, I’d be hurt that people were making fun of my family who just died and we haven’t even had the funeral yet. You might not be, but a lot of people are in mourning right now about it. I’m not in mourning, but at least I have respect for those who do and don’t wish to make their time of emotional pain worse.
I feel like that shows a lack of common decency, really, but hey it’s the internet so that’s an excuse to humiliate and insult everybody as much as you want (or selfishly get a cheap laugh at someone else’s tragedy), I guess.
