We’ve switched to half metal, half plastic cuffs. YouTube has videos of people breaking them. An inmate volunteered to show detention staff how he could escape if he wanted.
My department won’t let me carry the cuffs I prefer because “I haven’t been trained on them”. They have a hinge instead of chain links. It’s not much different, but whatever.

If i concentrate on my calved via flex my feet out and flex my calves, the majority of the stress goes to my calves. If I relax my calves and feet the majority of the stress hits my hamstrings. For me it seems to work better on my calves because they’re under constant tensions. I still do seated calf raises as well though.
So how has this worked out in terms of physical development?

I honestly can’t say. I must have forgotten to write down the measurements I took on my calves. When I looked at my log I keep, I had my thigh measurements but no calf measurements. I have noticed a size increase but without actual measurements I don’t feel comfortable saying how.much or if it’s a big difference. I’ll have to take measurements tomorrow morning and keep better track.
My God that’s dumb. The only difference is they can’t twist. Much easier to use on non- compliant persons. A little more uncomfortable for those with tight shoulders.
I wouldn’t call it calf work but I’ve been pointing my toes to make the lying leg curls harder for my hamstrings. My default approach seems to be to flex my anterior tibialis which lengthens the calf. I guess the increased tension allows me to use the calf as a knee flexor. I find this to feel stronger than the toes pointed approach.

I have read a few things that mention bone differences in men and women aren’t that much. Relatively speaking. Granted men have a bit more density, and length, but it’s still relative to height mostly.
So I think it’s safe for women to use. Or at the very least fairly accurate.
I would say the opposite and it would be dramatically inaccurate. The key to that was maximum natural muscle growth, the absence of testosterone would negate the entire model.
If a women was also 5’7 with 6.5 inch wrists this formula would say she could natural get 16.25 inch biceps at 8-10 bf%.
