My current lifting coach, who mainly coaches high school students, loves clever nicknames. Most of them are much more offensive than “Chapstick”. That’s a shame she was fired over this.
We live in the land of snowflakes.
My parents have a strange masochistic tendency to spoil me… then regret it a few weeks/months later. It helps neither of us, but I enjoy the “benefits” too much to stop them.
Also, they think I “study too much” and that my brother spends too much time on digital entertainment… I spend at least 3 hours on Netflix/youtube every day.
Oh I can think of another term other then snowflake
A pejorative term for the female genitalia, perhaps?
Now that would be rude and very non PC on my part.![]()
Probably true though ![]()
Isn’t that Alaska?
Ok I get asking for advice on training on forums. Since this is what this site is for. But I don’t know if I get asking for relationship advice. Do some truly don’t have a network of friends or family for guidance?
The whole off-topic sub section is nuts man.
I’m not Mr social and can be a ass hat . But even I have people to seek advice from on really personal things.
At a friends house for a BBQ. The friend is divorced, splits custody with his ex and has a girlfriend of 6 years.
The girlfriend comes outside while the guys are drinking beers.
GF: “Your daughter just rolled her eyes at me, and when I told her to go to her room she balled up her fists at me.”
Friend: “So spank her little butt if she wants to act like that.”
GF: “Why, so your ex wife can have me arrested?”
Friend: “My ex wife can arrest these nuts…like she USED to do.”
I swear it there was a record, it would have skipped. GF had a death stare on, and after 3 seconds of awkward silence the other guys and I started dying laughing.
What is WOD?
Typically it’s Workout Of the Day.
Cross fit stuff?
Baby don’t hurt me.
My daughter just tagged me with this on Facebook, commenting “the only lifting I’ll ever do.” Made me laugh.
It’s hard to picture this scene as anything but comical.
I laughed way too hard at that.
Thats kind of what I thought… But thats just a term for the workout you do that day, right? It tells nothing of what you did at all to say “I did WOD today”
I guess they mean “They would do the WOD posted on the crossfit homepage” ??
