The Flame-Free Confession Thread II

Very cool!

I also noticed that 1kg of slightly out of date beef mince looks suspiciously like something that’s supposed to be inside your body, not outside it.

Surely that implies that you should eat it even quicker after it goes out of date

Great to see @alpha give you a shout out and talk about the old days on T nation.

Why be embarrassed?

Because I was shooting for 9 reps with that weight, that was my goal.

And I didn’t even get the 7th.

It happens no shame.

Yeah, I guess I just feel 185 is way too light to be having problems with.

My shoulder is still way too fucked to bench, so I’d be psyched to hit 185 for anything right now! You’re young though, don’t worry about it and just play the long game. And go watch the Giro!

How long have you been training? Going by your avatar I’d have never thought you’d struggle with 185

3 years.

I can hit 115 x 9 on the press, 290 x 11 on the Deadlift, and 270 x 10 on the squat, but apparently 185 x 6 is the best I can do as of now for the bench.

The bench is definitely my weak point.

I’ve done 15 reps at that weight on the deadlift, but 185 is about my bench 1RM, so it could be worse.

(I want to put a sad emoji in here but they’re massively obnoxious and big on this forum for some reason)

I confess that I am wearing my blue rehband shorts under my work clothes because I pulled a muscle somewhere in my pelvis that was forcing me to lockup like some malfunctioning robot yesterday during basic locomotion and heat seems to cure all.

And that it appears I’m on schedule to limp through a lot of Murph tomorrow, as a result.

Rub some dirt on it! :smirk:

I think plenty of dirt is going to get rubbed on it during the push ups.

Confession: I consider squats and deadlifts without a belt ‘core work’. Secondary Confession: I don’t remember the last time I did any dedicated core exercises.

It was one workout, no drama here. You’ve made consistent progress as long as I’ve been following your log. One session is no issue.

Just listen to Stone Temple Pilots while you train and you’ll be good.

These past two month CT has me doing nightmarish stuff on my leg day. On my current program my second exercise is 3x10 beltless Frankenstein squat with a 4 secs eccentric. The last one it was a mechanical drop set of 4-6 Frakenstein squat, followed by max front squat with same weight, followed by max back squat. My core has never hurted me more.

Also these last two weeks I’ve been catching up on my easter and ate maybe 2 pounds of chocolate lol
