The Flame-Free Confession Thread II

I just posted a Thor and Martins youtube vid in my PTA class’s facebook group and talked about how high level patients in an ortho outpatient setting could perform joint mobs on themselves with heavy duty bands and we should consider doing that for treatment.

I feel like a nerd because I can’t watch videos now without thinking about therapy.

Saw the new episodes pop up on my Netflix channel. Great show. I’m only on season 2, though. Was sidetracked by The Haunting of Hill House, which really was phenomenal.

Does Sarah Paulson have a big role in it? I’ve been meaning to catch it.

Sarah Paulson wasn’t in Hill House. Unless she had some cameo, but I even checked on IMDB to make sure I wasn’t crazy.

Horror shows are hard to nail- they usually either aren’t scary, or they rely on pure gore, or cheap thrills like things jumping out at you, and all the while, the characters and the story suffer. This show is genuinely scary, it’s dark, it’s chilling. The characters posses depth and they grow and change with the plot, and the twists are genuinely clever. You might call a couple things beforehand, like we all do with every show, but there are some great surprises. The second season will be a different family in a different house, I believe, so this has the added attraction of being sort of a mini-series, where the writers aren’t just making up shit to hold on for dear life for as many seasons as possible. There’s a tangible story arc here and an ending lurking in the shadows from the very beginning. Watch the first three episodes. If you are not fully invested by the third, I will be shocked. Can’t give the show enough praise.

Dammit I thought she was. I must have confused it with one of the seasons of American Horror Story.

Love how a certain someone contradicted his lifting numbers on a lift from a previous post in this very sub forum .But I’m refusing to get myself directly tangled in the foolishness.

Think you just did, lol.

Nope i have plausible deniability on my side since I’m being vague and haven’t mentioned the guilty party by name. :smiling_imp: I’m a simple bystander just reporting what I see.

There have been mentions of some good popcorn threads on here and I’ve yet to find any of these train wrecks. I’m hoping I’m not the conductor on said train wreck :joy:

Look over in the Off Topic forum.

I do some grip work a few times per week in my garage. My sons like to watch and get involved a bit - mainly by stuffing abiut with my tools.

Tonight, they see some type of spider on the wall and it captures their attention for a while.

They then run off and come back with one of my wife’s shoes. They then try to get the spider into the shoe.

The spider decided it wasn’t cooperating, so they asked me to help. So I gladly took the shoe and tried to entice the spider in.

Stupid thing was very flinchy, so it was hard to get it into a good position.

Then my wife walks in on us, with me holding her shoe, trying to maneuver a spider on the wall into it with our boys spectating.

At that point I say I wasn’t going to leave it in there and like it would stay in the shoe anyway. Somehow, she still didn’t see the funny side of it.

My confession is not only was I going to leave the spider in there, I was going to add in some dead flies to incentivize it to take up residence.

I was very impressed with my boys’ creativity on this one.

But, that is the same thing with Mike. Find your minimum necessary volume, and add more when needed. Focus on compound movements. Gives recommendations on sets reps based on muscle makeup, etc. All simple stuff.

He States in many podcasts that all the extra science stuff is for those looking to get the absolute most, for those that consider bodybuilding their sport.

It’s my goal, the alternative is the slow agonizing path to the grave we are on now.
