This little dude here, Norman Thin N in color 80.

I’ve caught more fish on this crank than on any other bait, not sure why they like it so much but they do. I’ve got 3 of these in the same color because of how many fish I’ve pulled with it.
That day I had 2 other fish on one straightened out the hook to get away the other one broke the hook. I’m ready to get back out there.
I haven’t fished in YEARS. But as a kid, I spent every summer between ages 10 through 15 fishing almost daily. I do miss it.

Those are some nice bass dday. Is that a private pond your fishing in? If it is what kind of forage do you have in there?

Thanks!
Yep it’s private, it’s an old cow pond in the middle of 100 some odd acres. There really isn’t much forage in the lake, a few trees here and there mostly lake grass of some sort. It’s really just about wide open, no where for the lunkers to hide
I’ve heard someone threw a 13lb striped bass in there a few years ago, I wanna get hold of that critter. Headed out tomorrow to see if I can land the ones that got away, hopefully I’ll have some more pictures tomorrow.

Check this site out www.pondboss.com . You can learn everything you need to know about managing a small body of water. Join the forum I have the same screen name on that forum. I think that site will be helpfull for you. I have learned loads of info that I’ve put into practice on my own pond. With the results you have right now You should be able to get a couple of 10+ lbers with the right management.
Thanks a lot for bumping this thread guys. Now I’m sitting here staring out my office window at the mouth of Naragansett Bay and the Atlantic Ocean (yeah, not a bad view) thinking about fishing instead of working. Too bad it’ll be another month at least.
Wow, this topic is great. Nice to know so many T nation members Fish. Fishing is my only true passion. Love throwing the weights around though. In fact one reason I started lifting again was to be able to land more fish. You guys catch some interesting fish that one day I would love to tangle with. I live in San Diego and catch mostly offshore pelagic species like Tuna and Dorado as well as Yellowtail and Marlin.
I am a crew member on a boat in the Mission bay Marlin club and in fact we have our first Tournament of the year tomorrow. I also fish the fresh at times but mostly the Salt. If I only knew as much about building my body as I do catching the finned critters. Tight lines to you all and keep the pictures coming I will provide a few as well. Fish porn is cool.

Spotted Bay Bass is tomorrows target along with Halibut.
I haven’t posted any pics yet, so I’ll put up a few now. No giants like some of the other guys have posted, but who cares?
This first one is my old man with a dolphin that he caught in Florida. My grandfather treated us to a trip out on a charter boat, and we managed to hook up a few times. Not a big fish, but the colors are incredible:

Sorry, technical difficulties:

Here’s another one from a small pond on Cape Cod last summer. It was an awesome trip where me and a buddy basically got to fish gorgeous, empty ponds all day for a couple days. Here’s hoping this year yields some real pigs!
I’m from, Buffalo, but have fished all over. Best bass fishing is on golf courses in florida lol. If you don’t get yelled at 5-8 lbs all day. The bass really arent bad up here either, though. God, I really miss some fishing. I don’t go a ton now, work and life get in the fucking way lol.
