The First Presidential Debate

Help me out here.

What does “Violating…but not in a criminal sense” mean exactly?

I had a similar thought, that Bill (Cosby) hasn’t been convicted of rape (as of yet), yet isn’t seen as being innocent in the slightest by anyone.

Why were charges filed against Bill Cosby and not against Bill Clinton ? White privilege ?

Or more likely - most politically connected couple in the world (maybe in history) > entertainer

You’re right. You aren’t accusing him. You’ve found him guilty of rape based on hersay.

Ah, no. Rape is a serious felony and people are innocent until proven guilty in this country. That is how Due Process works.

Incredibly laughable.

Uhuh. I’m sure above the law super powerful Donald didn’t throw her a bone to do this.

Conjecture sure is fun.

I can’t fathom how you reconcile all of the contradictions you post.

Trump, being both rich and powerful, couldn’t possibly have rape a little girl and covered it up, but Bill Clinton is guilty of rape because of hearsay.

Ureal.

Lol, exactly. It’s complete nonsense, but it follow the Raj’s posting history so it’s not exactly a surprise.

The difference is probably $$$$.

Conjecture is fun.

Where was the trial for bill Clinton?

I suppose you could view it that way, but I don’t necessarily agree. Especially as it relates to his potential role as CIC. Being a commander and being a CEO are not really the same.

I think that’s arguable.

This is true; however, you need to understand basic concepts related to key issues. Trump has shown he is lacking here. He wasn’t prepared to debate topics at a very broad high level.

How can you make a decision if you don’t have a base understanding of an issue? Especially under duress.

Hey, I agree 100%, but the Republican party gave us Donald Trump who, imo, is even less qualified and for reasons previously mentioned is worse for the country over time.

In my opinion, the GOP squandered a golden opportunity to control all three parts of the federal government and set the country on a conservative path for a generation.

In your head I guess.

believing a guy who was almost impeached for sexual misconduct likely raped a woman versus a billionaire who has dated several models and only had glowing reviews from his past wives.

I also believe OJ Simpson murdered his wide even though he was found not guilty.

So to be clear you think since no trial took place and therefore bill is innocent because he wasn’t found guilty in a court of law?

Amercian’s are innocent until proven guilty. What about that concept do you not understand?

Are all these people guilty?

I don’t think think the justice system is infallible.

I have formed an opinion based on what we know about these men… Seriously are you secretly an automatic robot?

Of course, it’s fallible. The inverse; however, is worse.

Based on what we know… And where do we get this information? That damned one sided bias media that lovvvveeesss to sell a juicy story. These are all high profile, powerful, wealthy men and women that could fuck just about anyone they want yet they’ve all been accused of some crime.

You want to find them guilty in the court of the Raj that’s on you, but that isn’t how the judicial system in America works, thank God. Accusing some of rape is a serious issue. Falsely accusing some of rape is a serious issue.

I get it, though. Trump’s your boy so there’s no way super Alpha Trump could rape a woman because he gets mad model pussy.

Bill, on the other hand, must be a rapist because of _________(insert some contradictory reason).

Yup, you figured it out…

The GOP didn’t appoint him as candidate. Millions of populists did with their vote.
Would you prefer the party change its selection process? If so, that’s your choice.

Maybe the GOP is being forced to either morph or die.
The warning signals have been sounding for years - moving from paleo to neo conservatism, tea party challenges, and now Trump as standard bearer.

Oh and don’t give me a robot reply either

I just don’t see how you can come to this conclusion. The vision itself is a function of the intellect of the visionary, and I think we have come to a fairly strong PWI consensus re: Trump’s intellect.

But forget that: look at the “hiring people to implement” angle. He has surrounded himself with a cast of incompetent doofs and downright villains. He literally allowed multiple Putinites to install themselves in his ear and whisper incredibly dangerous (as in, I feel like most of America doesn’t appreciate how dangerous it is) Kremlin propaganda into the echoing cavern that is his skull. One of these men has now attracted the attention of American intelligence services for meeting with a Russian official believed to be in charge of tampering with foreign elections.

Even the ones that aren’t nefarious are patently incompetent, which is why the Trump campaign is months behind vis-a-vis ground game. There’s so much more: they put out these ludicrous press releases that serve only to reflect Trump’s own ludicrousness. They allowed a plagiarized speech to be delivered as the keynote on the first night of their convention. They called a press conference to revive birtherism and hand it to Clinton for a good old debate-night beating. The result is a man and campaign so incredibly inept as to be losing to a candidate whose biggest question mark coming into the election was “will she be charged with a crime?”

The old adage has a good deal of truth in it: if you can’t run a campaign, you can’t run a country.

No disagreement with what you wrote, but had the electorate wanted someone else, they would have voted that way in the primary.

Other seasoned politicians like Jeb or Kasich were clearly more intelligent, but barely broke into the double digits in votes.

Yes indeed, and it’s a huge problem for the GOP if their most cohesive bloc is now the self-destructive loons who gave us Trump. All the smart Rightist posters here will be at the mercy of Rajraj and his comrades in sewage.

More importantly, the general election ought to figure into primary voters’ calculus. It didn’t, and that’s probably going to be a problem for anybody Right of center.

Edit: does anyone believe that Jeb or Rubio or Kasich would be down to Clinton now?

Correction. GOP primary voters squandered a golden opportunity.

Agreed. I wrote GOP, but I meant GOP primary voters.
