Psshhh 50000+ here, split between brothers, but thats a different thread topic though

Orc warrior baby! Decided on two handed weapons. I don’t like doing the main quest untill I’m a high level. Just explore and side missions.

OK, I managed to get in about 5 hours total over the weekend but got nothing accomplished.

I am currently trapped in the dungeon for “Olaf’s Verse”.

I finished the dungeon but a dragon was waiting for me outside.
I try to fight and it kills me.
I try to run and it kills me.
I have no health position left and I use a mace/shield combo.

Any suggestions?
Ahaha man that’s funny. I wish I would run into non-pussy dragons like this.

BTW the only problem I am having so far is my gay-ass horse being eaten by bears and stuff while I’m out adventurising about.

They need to fix em… takes too long to dismount and engage whatever is attacking me - horses shouldn’t get involved in combat IMO.

I just started playing it today. Love it. Having played Fallout has definitely benefited as far as game layout, controls, etc. Im making my self one badass Nord Archer. Can be hard as hell to aim but it is fun.
Learn to sneak and poison your bow.

If they find out where you are you are dead.
Ya I found that out early. When you are low leveled, weak, and have sucky equipment, you have to fight wisely. I started using the method and you mentioned and took down a giant at lvl 4. Took awhile though.

Thats my problem also. Ive been tempted to just leave him at a town and continue but a horse makes exploring ALOT faster.

i hate trophies and anything related.

They just take away from the gaming experience to make you get addicted on a skinner-box like scheme.

I think you should just be able to attack from horseback…

I was surprised and disappointed horses are still treated this way.

Did you guys know you can buy a dog in Markath? He is supposed to be a war dog but he sucks at fighting and dies all the time so I just left him in my house.

Well that sucks. The dog you can get in Fallout 3 is a tough bastard and can be of use in battle.

Absolutely. Especially when you are an archer or mage. You could easily fight with those skills. Its frustrating when you are galloping through the forest, come up on a pack of wolves, and have to climb down just to destroy them. Takes to much time when that happens 3 time from one location to another.

Reminds me of the dog from Dragon Age Origins, he was pretty cool

The dog in Shivering Isles was pretty useless too.

I escaped. I took off at a dead sprint and used the sprint shout to make it to a couple giants that killed the dragon for me. It is totally a BS way to do it but it got done.

And Otto, I realize you were joking but using a Mace and shield is f*cking useless.
I am going to switch to a warrior-mage style from now on.

Nahhh, shield and 1 hander rocks. Do you know how to shield bash?

I want to use a mace because they have higher damage than swords and axes, but right now I am using a skyforge steel axe because the “greatest blacksmith in Skyrim” apparently doesn’t know how to make skyforge maces.

I have the Molag Bal mace and like it for killing anything that will fight me.

I have a problem when it is a mage using magic or a dragon. Need the ranged attacks of spell casting for those situations I think. When mages run from me it looks like an old cartoon where I just chase them around swinging my mace for 5 minutes. And not having a ranged weapon for dragons means I stand on the ground and get lit on fire until the dragon is kind enough to land and let me hit him.

Going to have to disagree with you there, i think the “achievements” just give you more to do in the game, a lot of times some of them prove quite challenging. Not saying when ever i play a game all i am fixated on is getting achievements, its just something else to do.

Not when it’s stuff that’s not constructive and fun like poke your knife on the giant’s butt 1000 times.
