I didnt know Alt was sprint. When/where did you learn that?

…Sir, you’re smarter than this. Just check your controls in the Settings menu.

Tips and Tricks:

If your magical weapons runs out of charges, you can recharge it with a Soul Gem. Go to your weapons menu, go to your Magical weapon, and look for a button that says charge. Press it and you sacrifice your soul gem to recharge the weapon. As long as you have soul gems in your possession, you can recharge your magical weapons.

TBH I was too excited and enthralled in the game to even bother with the settings menu (even though its something I do normally in almost every other game)

Yes, Skyrim is that good!

I can’t believe theres so much Skyrim hate though.

I have yet to do a single thing in Skyrim in the proper order. I’m constantly showing up to some dude’s castle that I’ve never seen before, only to hand over a mystical item that I’d mentally scratched off as garbage hours ago, and then sit and listen to the story be retroactively explained to me:

King: Wanderer! Thank the gods you’ve come! The prophecy told us that a mighty warrior would arise, worthy of wielding Fjalnir, the God-axe, and slaying the evil Demon Prince Synraith. We believe you to be that warrior. What say you, traveler? Will you accept this task?

Me: Yea, verily I shall accept thine task and vanq- wait, Synraith? Fiery dude in a floating city? Cape made out of screeching souls? Ahhh, shit. I already killed that guy.

King: You … already slew the Demon Prince, the Knife in the Dark, the Void at the Heart of All Men, whose identity you did not learn until just now?

Me: Yup. I saw that castle floating up in the sky, and I wanted to know if I could jump up the rocks to get in the back way. It took a lot of reloads, but I finally managed to hop on up in there.

King: You “hopped on up” into the Abyssal Palace?

Me: Yeeeep, yep yep yep. Just squat-jumped on in there and looted the place. Then I killed that Sydney guy-

King: Synraith, Demon Prince of the Abyss.

Me: -yeah him. I ganked that guy. Mostly just to see if I could. Plus he looked like kind of a dick.

King: Indeed, the Foulest of the Foul was “kind of a dick.” But you vanquished him without the aid of sacred Fjalnir, the God-axe?

Me: Totally. It wasn’t even a thing. I just hid on top of a bookshelf where he couldn’t reach me and shot him with arrows. Then I waited until he forgot I was shooting him, and did it all again to get the sneak damage bonus. Took a while, but he died all the same.

King: Forsooth! Thine heroic deeds are … well, that sounds kind of fucked up, actually. Never thought I’d feel bad for He Who Devours. So you have no need of our sacred totem weapon?

Me: What, the gold dealy, with the shiny bits? Nah, I already stole that out of the display case four hours ago, before I knew who you were. I gave it to Sven, but he Quantum Leaped out of the game with that shit.

King: Huh. So. I guess … the bards will … sing of your tale now?

Me: Oh yeah? Sweet, let’s hear it.

Bard: The hero came with eyes aflame / his tasks already done / the land was rescued all the same / but 'tis kind of a shitty song.

Me: Word.

This shit had me rolling.[/quote]

That’s one of the funniest fucking things I’ve ever read

So I made a orc warrior character so I can join the Companions. Melee is a lot harder than magic! I wanted to make a 2 hander barbarian warrior like Wol’s, but that didn’t work out. I had the difficulty on Master on my mage and I was unstoppable at level 17. I kept it on Master for my warrior and kept getting my ass stomped in the first cave you go to for Whiterun. I switched to a shield and mace and bought a raise undead spell. So now I am a death knight type of character, fighting with shield and mace and raising zombies to help me fight.

The good thing about Master difficulty is it takes so long to kill 1 enemy that you end up leveling very quickly. I am level 9 already just finished the first dragon fight. I don’t know how I’m going to kill any more though, I put all my points into health but 1 fire blast and I have a sliver of life left because of the Orc fire weakness.

You play it on Master? That’s insane!

I would totally change my play style. I’d go to one town, stay there, and only do missions relating to that town. And if I’m ever outnumbered, I will run. Then I’ll sneak attack later on.

Holy hell I just played 4 hours straight. I am dephased with reality right now.

I just did that last night on normal difficulty.

Went to the grotto to finish the light house mission.
Got swarmed by 6ish bandits and jumped off the cliff into the water.

I must suck though.

So I’m lvl 27 now, Just forged a Daedric Sword and made it legendary (upgrade all your armor and weapons, by upgrading them you damn near double their strength), now this sword does 66pts of dmg per hit, a huge upgrade over the 38 my skyforge sword was doing. So full dragon armor (Armor Rating of 448), the question is now how do I go about getting this stuff enchanted? Is this another thing I’m going to have to upgrade to 100 in order to properly enchant my gear, or can I pay somewhere in skyrim to do it for me?

Most enchantments are easy. You find a magical weapon with an enchantment on it, like frost or fire. You go to a Enchantment table and then you disenchant it. Once that’s done, you’ve learned a new enchantment and can put it on any weapon in your possession. You’ll need a soul gem as well.

Funniest exchange evarrr…!!!

I ended up rolling a blonde haired warrior that wields a big fuck-off hammer and lightning destruction magic… Thor anyone?

Just bought the game. I havent bought and xbox game in over a year. I couldnt help it. Its too great

Shouldve got it for PC man… think of all the mods thatll come out eventually!

Any one else notice Daedric armour is superior to dragon armour? Looks way cooler too.

Yeah, I’m working on getting the ingredients for the daedric set now. It makes sense that dragon is on top of the smithing tree because of how much easier it is to get than the daedric stuff. I had tons of scales and bones so I jumped right past the other options to dragon. Tracking down daedric hearts is a real pain in the ass, where’s oblivion when you need it…haha. Another thing to think about is, when you’re getting ready to smith some top items, use potions that improve smithing. It improves your armor above and beyond normal forever.

Last night was roaming through a dungeon and happened upon Otar the Mad (one of the Dragon Priests). He was a royal bitch to fight and many health potions were drank, but he went down and now I have his sweet mask. Its armor rating when I upgrade the mask will be above legendary dragon helmet and it gives me 30% resistance to frost, fire and shock!
