how much ram do you have? I have it on PC and it runs fine except for some random CTDs. Plus modders are going to probably add some cool stuff. It will probably look better on the PC in the long run.
Wol- As a fellow magic hater I presume you have massacred the witches of Glenmoril. Bitches deserved to lose their heads.

@kaiser - yes sir!
Details! Sword and Shield? Two handed Weapon? Dual Wielding(which is queer).
Sword and Shield
Also for those interested I am playing the PC version
Biggest gripe I have besides warriorism is the travel! The horse ain’t all that great either.

You know you can ride the carriage to every city in the game right? There aren’t many locations that aren’t a couple minutes away from a city.
Fuck me… theres a carriage? Where the hell is the carriage?
Shit.

Alright guys, is anyone playing it on pc? I generally prefer games like this on pc(compared to console) but I wanted to see if anyone has any comments before I went through with the purchase. Im guessing there is a xbox 360 version?
Xbox 360 ps3 version etc… The problem i see with playing it on a pc is 1) Not sure if your graphics card can take it
2 and Most importantly) Due to the size, amount of items, options, possible outcomes etc. i’m not sure how smooth skyrim would run on pc. If it does, it seems to me it would take up a hell of a lot of memory, probably something more than the civilization games
Also, not sure how i missed this thread, most likely because i was playing skyrim… oh the irony
Damn I just bought it out off of Steam out of impatience. I know my graphics card can take it but as far as memory, not sure. I already have Fallout 3 and 2 Europa Universalis games on my computer. But doesnt Steam use Cloud tech and doesnt that change how it stores on your pc?
Not sure to be honest, good question though i never thought of it like that. Lemme know how it goes, and what graphics card and computer do you currently have.

Outside the gate of each major city is a guy sitting on a wagon and he will take you to any of the locations listed. Once you have been there you can fast travel back.
And yeah I have a problem with the horse too. It should be able to sprint non-stop IMO.
F*cking map is huge and my horse does 100m dash then trots.

Oh yeah, I forgot you can double wield spells.
I am going to go f*ck that frost troll up!
I have yet to kill a troll, giant or mammoth.

You can also use the map and click on locations you’ve been to to fast travel.

Hahahahahahahaaha
So glad I am not the only one who missed this. I discovered it a couple days ago.
The horse does blow riding it, but still faster than walking.
Plus when I am walking I tend to want to fucking pick every flower, catch every butterfly.
I have tried to mix some shit together with Alchemy…it never fucking works.
About Horses:
You guys do realize that you can buy better horses? In the past games, you can buy better horses at a higher price. And they become a lot faster. I’m sure you can do the same in this game. Go to different stables, ask about their horses, and purchase the best one.
OR
You can just fast travel everywhere.
I have yet to do a single thing in Skyrim in the proper order. I’m constantly showing up to some dude’s castle that I’ve never seen before, only to hand over a mystical item that I’d mentally scratched off as garbage hours ago, and then sit and listen to the story be retroactively explained to me:
King: Wanderer! Thank the gods you’ve come! The prophecy told us that a mighty warrior would arise, worthy of wielding Fjalnir, the God-axe, and slaying the evil Demon Prince Synraith. We believe you to be that warrior. What say you, traveler? Will you accept this task?
Me: Yea, verily I shall accept thine task and vanq- wait, Synraith? Fiery dude in a floating city? Cape made out of screeching souls? Ahhh, shit. I already killed that guy.
King: You … already slew the Demon Prince, the Knife in the Dark, the Void at the Heart of All Men, whose identity you did not learn until just now?
Me: Yup. I saw that castle floating up in the sky, and I wanted to know if I could jump up the rocks to get in the back way. It took a lot of reloads, but I finally managed to hop on up in there.
King: You “hopped on up” into the Abyssal Palace?
Me: Yeeeep, yep yep yep. Just squat-jumped on in there and looted the place. Then I killed that Sydney guy-
King: Synraith, Demon Prince of the Abyss.
Me: -yeah him. I ganked that guy. Mostly just to see if I could. Plus he looked like kind of a dick.
King: Indeed, the Foulest of the Foul was “kind of a dick.” But you vanquished him without the aid of sacred Fjalnir, the God-axe?
Me: Totally. It wasn’t even a thing. I just hid on top of a bookshelf where he couldn’t reach me and shot him with arrows. Then I waited until he forgot I was shooting him, and did it all again to get the sneak damage bonus. Took a while, but he died all the same.
King: Forsooth! Thine heroic deeds are … well, that sounds kind of fucked up, actually. Never thought I’d feel bad for He Who Devours. So you have no need of our sacred totem weapon?
Me: What, the gold dealy, with the shiny bits? Nah, I already stole that out of the display case four hours ago, before I knew who you were. I gave it to Sven, but he Quantum Leaped out of the game with that shit.
King: Huh. So. I guess … the bards will … sing of your tale now?
Me: Oh yeah? Sweet, let’s hear it.
Bard: The hero came with eyes aflame / his tasks already done / the land was rescued all the same / but 'tis kind of a shitty song.
Me: Word.

This shit had me rolling.
^hahaha!
I played yesterday and I am a lvl12 breton all rounder. I am a breton with a sword and a shield, light armor and I use destruction and conjuration spells.
The game is awesome, so awesome that the tiny minor glitch are more annoying by contrast. Ever encountered 3 guys that party and drink outside in the snowstorm? They get killed by wolves lol. Having your horse attack everything is annoying, it should run away and come back.
Also did anyone do the quest where you have to help people in frostnorth? I found the girl ‘Vex’ who told where to go look for the women that drunk guy was missing (lol…), and for some reason she only says it once and I didn’t get it.
^ Thats the thing I believe most of us talk about side missions etc that we have done and hardly few of us have done the same things.
2 of the guys who work for me we all have had stark differences in game play.
If anybody is reading this thread wondering whether to get the game, you really should evaluate your goals first…
I look like a zombie, I can’t stop playing…
Thank God for protein shakes, haha!

I have it, but if I open it now I might be the sneakiest thief and assassin in 3 days but nothing else would get done.
In a few hours, I’m gonna have a long session Skyrim. Skyrim, Boston Market, and Crystal light. Ahh yeah!

talk about missing stuff.
