The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Out Now

Someone here said they can’t die, so I took her out to a cave with me when I was still a low level.

When there were enemies around, I’d leave her to occupy them while I ran off… that was, until she died.

LOL

Are you talking about the follower?

I have discovered that the only think that will kill them is if you accidentally do it yourself.

I watched Lydia, my follower, get toasted by a dragon and fall to the dirt dead.
30 seconds later she was back up hitting the dragon.

I have, however, had to reload the game a few times as I got confused in close quarters and killed her myself.

The enemy ignores your followers if they are knocked out if you are also in the vicinity…
Usually.

Might very well happen that she went prone and some enemy was still locked in his attack animation and hit her a split second later or something.

Could be, all I know is I had to come back to the middle of a big-ass cave to collect the other half of the stuff she was carrying for me, after I dropped off the first batch back in Whiterun.

Hmm. Gotta say the Bethesda NPC’s never inspire this sort of behaviour in me.

I did restart fallout 2 from the beginning after realizing half-way into the game that I’d burst-fired a dog to death in some city fighting bandits or slavers or whatever sometime at the beginning and I like dogs, so…

I’m always doing shit like that, although because it’s fun and I think it emerges me into the game. Since Oblivion actually.

In Skyrim I found this NPC in a random encounter called “Old Orc”. After talking to him I beheaded him with an axe ( that “Power move” animation ) because he said he wanted to die in combat. Then I spend the next 10 minutes dragging him to a bridge, finding the correct place, arranging him and the head in position, then pushing the body into the river so he would fall out of the waterfall. Heck it was an Orc but I decided to give him a viking funeral, couldn’t lit him on fire but whatever.

What about Dogmeat? Actually, the Fallout 3 crew had some I liked.

Dogmeat. If it’s Mad Max, I get a dog. It should be in the rules.

Charon, the ghoul who was very ethical. Would do whatever his boss wanted, but if you were no longer his boss and he thought you were a dick then a shotgun blast to the face was his way of saying “I disagree with the direction you have taken.”

Fawkes, a big, moral, super mutant who just wants to do the right thing.

Overall though I will admit both Dragon Age (the first one, I treat Dragon Age II like the second highlander movie) and Mass Effect did a better job.

Regards,

Robert A

Respect!

Question for you guys(especially those playing this on pc). All of the sudden this morning, some of the commands/keys would not work for the game. Example, when wanting to fast travel, I would click on the site I want to go to and the map would close and when Im trying to open a lock, the buttons that generally tweak the pick(A&D) would not do anything. Why did is this all of the sudden happen? Glitch? Virus? The damn that has been working fine till now.

Nevermind the previous post. Steam fixed the glitch and know all is well. Thats why I love Steam. Continue on with your slaying of dragons and laying of women.

just saying.

its about lydia.

If you want an over the top quest go find the guy in an igloo in the middle of the sea north of the academy. So far I have a mysterious ancient ‘parchemin’ of pure divine cosmic knowledge or something that blinds me when I try to read it, a crazy guy waiting to open a giant dwemer containing the essence of the mind of a god, and a ‘abysse maudit’ demon apparition that swore it would break me like all the others. And it’s only beggining.
Yeah, I am wondering how that ends. I still need the blood of a wood elf to open the giant box.
I will need to kill the abysse in the end, as I serve no one!
OK, so found a wood elf and took his blood.
A very, very small one…

And you took him from behind…

-_- …

to those who think dual weapon is lame, try this. get all the words required for air element(the one that allows you to swing unenchanted weapons more quickly) get two swords, smith them to legendary for higher damage(i.e ebony, glass…) max out increase dual weapon speed perk (2). find enemy (dragon/giants meh), shout, finish them in a few seconds. (:

Is anyone level 50 yet? I just reached 40 last night. Also, any tips for leveling heavy armor up fast?

@Singin

Let yourself get hit a lot. Carry lots of food and pots.
