The Earth

Nothing that I can do will change the structure of the universe. But maybe, by raising my voice I can help the greatest of all causes - goodwill among men and peace on earth.?? - Albert Einstein

As I look at the earth - pondering it, pondering my future - I realize that I must turn with it. Let it push me where it will. Let it spit me out on some distant shore. Let it splatter me on the sidewalks of the cities. Drop me like rain on the savannahs, like snow on the mountains. Let it release me like a breath upon the oceans. Let me be the mist that rises from the surf at dawn. The dew beneath the feet of the hunter. The sands that shift in the desert wind. Remade by time. Reborn.

As I begin this adventure, I know that a beating heart is heart filled with wonder. Curiosity. Danger. I can choose the path. I can make it one of light. It can be black like the universal void from which we sprang. It shall be light! Or perhaps darkness. It cannot be known. Only proven by living. By time. If my deeds are remembered and considered, that will be my judgement. Only in time can I find peace. Or torment. Or silence.

So it is now, dear friends. So it is forever. So it is that I say goodbye. As I go I see the earth as my companion. For from it I cannot run. Today it nourishes me. Awakens me. It feeds my dreams. It bathes me in it’s cool waters. Warms my blood in it’s springs. Tomorrow it will surround me. Envelope me. Reduce me to dust. I will become the Earth. Finally moving with it through space. Through time.

Jim Morrison said, “Not to touch the earth. Not to see the sun. Nothing left to do but run, run, run. Let’s run.” And today I run.

Farewell.

Very funny, but you forgot to include a picture.

[/sarcasm]

Did you copy this off one of those “Footprints” pictures?

Later

Farewell thee Sir Brickpants and welcome thee back as another oh so humble persona.

Does the professor bother you that bad? You really need to get a hobby…

Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Are you so affected by Prof’s post that you spent days thinking about it?

And this is the best you could do?

I’d leave too if I were you.

Ditto what the LK said, though I can see him being touchy since you used a Morrison quote.

I still found it hilarious. Interestingly, you have an actual talent, my man. Channeled towards something other than sarcasm, you could do good things.

Is this a Captain Planet site or what?

What is it like to be middle aged and bitter all the time? You are almost to your golden years! And you have a 2004 Suburban + a rental house and a body slammed broken dryer!

Cheerio old chap!

Yes but with all the acid he had just ingested in consideration, “koo koo kee tchoo” was undoubtedly one of the most profound statements the world has ever heard.

Unfortunately nobody was on his level at the time to understand. Not even his baby sitter.

I know I shouldn’t be surprised anymore, but I am. For every rainjack post, texasguy is right there behind. What a sad, sad affair. We always love the ones we can’t have, don’t we texasguy?

I did, it was the kids and they wanted to get dropped off at the pool. Now I’m relieved to be rid of them.

I wouldn’t know. I am not bitter.

What does it matter to you what I have?

That’s right - the cunt in you still has a crush on me.

Give up texcunt. You are not my type. I am sure there are plenty other middle aged guys that would love to have the attentions of a teenaged twink-boy lapping at their crotch, but I am not one of them.

Bye.

Boo hoo. Want a tissue?

I really got used to him stalking and flaming me and every other poster half his age. Now that he doesn’t I do miss the old geezer and his fantastic pity me stories. Distance makes the heart grow fonder i suppose.

Now you just sound bitter and sexually repressed. Maybe they go hand in hand? I thought you had a wife! Did your viagra prescription run out? anyways, i’m not sure when mid twenties were considered teenage. If that helps your sexually repressed fantasy just keep it to yourself. I think it is disgusting.
