It would be pretty sick if Vibram set up a site where people could customize their shoe design.[/quote]

I also just bought a pair of Reebok minimus for just run around all the type shoes and Vibram makes the soles. They are expanding quickly so would not surprise me if that happens.

Ive been saying this since my freshman year of highschool in 1981: “As the Enviroment goes, so humanity goes”.

Look at the cases of Autism as an example. In 1970 the incident of autism was 1 in 3500, now it is 1 in 90?

There is only one group of americans with NO incident of autism. Which one you ask, how about the one that has

NEVER inoculated their children, the AMISH.

How about the rise of obesity/ diabetes. I can remember only 7 FAT kids throughout my grade and highschooling.

Would the rise of the (electronic) machines (pun intended) have any effect on kids born after 1980? Fuck Yea…

Humanity has fully screwed itself and has but itself to blame.

For my brothers on this forum, keep the faith- sleep deep- eat meat and lift Strong(er). thanks for listening

Here in Ontario we call them Mennonites. They may have zero cases of autismn but I can tell you from working in a hospital almost every Mennonite child I see wears glasses, not just some, damn near all of them. I never noticed untill a co-worker pointed it out to me. What this means I have no idea but it is food for thought.

The pussification is apparently contagious

Not bashing helpless victims but objectively speaking, I’d take glasses over autistic fat kids all day.

X again I still thing there is a social economic element to this. Low middle class or poverty level fight wars and do manual labor I know I do 3500 physicals a year on manual labor workers. Used to middle class kids were raised with a sense of physical labor, riding bikes to school, play sports, cut the yard etc. That has declined in the middle class due to multiple reasons.

And yes displaying aggression is not accepted now.

We get in a fight in the school yard and you got a couple of swats from the principal and it was done.

Dont start. Everything in moderation.

I know plenty of marriages that failed cause the husband spent every weekend out hunting.

Yeah but we’re talking about lazy kids who can tell you all about zone strategies but wouldn’t know what the laces on a football are.

I find the shoe discussion kinda funny and ironic in this thread.

But that is not the fault of video game industry, hell my parents bitched that TV was ruining kids etc. It comes down to peoples motivation and parents ability to be parents.

I noticed something similar for country kids. They’re either real small and wirey, or huge. There’s a football team by me that wins state all the time because they have lines that are straight kids that are huge. Im talkin It looked like the kids parents couldn’t afford a horse to pull the plow, so they had their kids do it.

Yes, unfortunately many parents support excessive video game use as a parenting tool because it keeps the kid close, easy to watch and relatively unable to be injured.

The video game industy is no more responsible for fat and lazy kids than the fast food industry but both products are amply consumed and highly effective at pussifying a whole gaggle of lost balls.

Oh FFS

Are you seriously suggesting there is a link between vaccination and autism?

Are you aware that autism has a wide spectrum of diagnosis, so even relatively ‘normal’ people can be diagnosed as having autistic tendencies?

Are you aware that autism wasn’t even taken seriously or until very recently (at least in the UK)

Please provide one reputable medical journal where there is a credible link between vaccination and autism.

As for the rest - meh. The younger generation have been going downhill since ancient Akkadia. What is it Socrates said? Children have no manners, they talk with their mouths open and disrespect their elders? Yeah, that.

EDIT: I just want to add for X’s sake that my dad made me mow the lawn.

Bambi you will not win this argument while you have valid factual data, media driven conspiracy will drown you out with made up relationships of “facts”.

That’s actually a myth, at least in the United States.

At least since WWII, where they started keeping these kinds of stats, actual combat arms units have overwhelmingly been comprised of middle to upper class white males.

I am not sure where this myth cam from, but it is persistent.

There is one guy who speculates that the over-representation of whites in combat/casualties stems from middle class whites seeking adventure (and thus going combat arms) while poorer/minority folk join the military to get a job/skill:
