Good point! Considering I just watched Batman: Gotham Knight I’m ashamed I didn’t beat you to this.

Second, even though Batman made a sacrifice to allow himself to be painted as the villain of Gotham, he gained something, too. One of the Mob bosses he was interrogating said something to the effect of "we know your weakness: you have rules.
You won’t kill me." Now that the entire city thinks Batman killed a bunch of dirty cops, the bad guys don’t have that assurance anymore. They have a new reason to be afraid of the Bat.
Good call, I didn’t even think about that.

I just got back from viewing #2, and it was even better this time including the ending. It also got me thinking: with all the talk about future villians, what about, oh I don’t know, The Joker?
Yes, I know Ledger is dead and it’ll be almost impossible to equal this performance, but unlike Dent, The Joker character is still alive.
I think we can safely assume Ledger’s Joker would have figured prominently in Nolan’s continuing story. To the extent that the story will now be changed, we’ll prob never know.
Of course, the hope is that Nolan eventually decided to pull some scenes from this movie and save them for the next one. Maybe we’ll get a glimpse of the Joker in Arkham. Or maybe some extra scenes for the DVD release. I know my fingers are crossed…
I went to see it tonight - it was a great experience.
Just before the start, a guy proposed to his girlfriend in front of everyone and had it written on the screen - that’s was pretty awesome and put everyone in a good mood.
The movie - exceptional.
Great twists and the acting - well Heath was just as has been said before. The end was just how an ending should be - a high.

So are they gonna get a divorce when he’s getting his dick sucked by his mistress in the Iron Man 2 theater.

Lets see he has scratches and bruises on his back and a giant dog bite on his arm and stitches it up himself. Did you overlook the fact that hes fuckin batman and maybe can walk off some pain because hes fuckin batman or maybe because he has to so people don’t ask questions because hes fuckin batman.
I would expect some little old quilting lady to question why he doesn’t act sore or walk with a limp but a T-Nation guy… seriously dude?
One more time so i don’t have to repeat myself later. Hes fuckin batman…
Sorry, didn’t know t-nationers didn’t think things through or question things.

It wasn’t you questioning the movie, it was the specific question you asked. It was way too good of a movie for such a minute detail. Especially coming from someone who I thought should know better since you’re a T-man and could easily understand ignoring pain.
The cell phone bit which was talked about in this thread already, that I can understand questioning. But if this was a Sonar forum or something… get my drift.
And I wasn’t trying to be an ass with my post, just trying to get my point across.

LOL!
“I was watching pro boxing last night…and why didn’t Joe Frazier just fall down and start crying? I mean, he just got hit in the face 12 times…shouldn’t he be limping or something!? I call FARCE!!”
I feel like a slacker getting into this thread so late (page 17… good Lord), but took a half day from work to go and see the movie. Loved it and it satiated my needs as a Batman nerd.
Not sure who wrote it (maybe Angry Vader) but Christopher Nolan just flat out does excellent movies that are both kick ass and thought-provoking at the same time. He is able to pull off some great twists without it being some ridiculous M. Night Shamamamalamalamamama-ish.
If you have not seen Memento or the vastly underrated The Prestige, you definitely should. Christian Bale is great in the latter.

I’m not nit picking though. I loved the movie. 10/10 for me. But if all our posts in this thread were Wow, this movie rocked! then it wouldn’t be much of a thread.

You like comic books? I couldn’t tell.
In terms of cinematic experiences in my opinion this movie is easily in contention for G.O.A.T. I still cant believe how incredible this movie is from beginning to end. Easily vies for #1 status in my top 10.
Comic books? That shit is for geeks!

No it’s definitely geekier than comics.
I think I’d have to go with comics books if I had to choose only one though.
i thought it was probably the best superhero movie i’ve seen, i hated batman begins… but the dark knight was incredible, although i think christian bale plays a better bruce wayne than he does a batman. didn’t really like iron man to be honest, hope the sequal is better.

Not to mention that I saw Bruce Wayne/Batman on the T-Nation Top 100 List…
A little Surge and Superfood goes a long way toward recovery!

Didnt like Batman Begins or Ironman? I’m pretty sure we can ignore every post you make in this thread from here on out.

LOL!!
Nothing else to add.
Finally saw this, and it was as amazing as advertised. The disappearing pencil trick had me cracking up for the rest up of the movie.
So why is it that the three best movies I have seen this year are all based on comic books? On one hand, it’s kind of a bummer that hollywood seems to be so completely devoid of original ideas right now, on the other it’s high time that those “kids” books are getting the respect they deserve as a medium for story telling.
