Was Batman freakin yoked this time? I don’t want to see a plastic chest and abs piece again with a skinny Bruce under it. Who plays him this time? Not John Cena? The Marine BLEW though!!! It was horrible, all the action looked so fake I was laughing. The way they smacked each other around with death blows every time but kept getting back up for more.

Hmmm, I’ll see if there’s a trailer.

Is this a serious post?

No, there’s no trailer for this movie and nobody knows who is playing Batman yet. They’ve been keeping it a closely guarded secret from the world-at-large.

While we are at it, I wonder who is going to play Wolverine in the Wolverine movie next summer. I hope it’s not John Cena.

I heard some movie called E.T. is going to be the shit.

Can’t wait.

SPOILER ALERT!!!

I agree that those of you who have not seen this movie should obviously not read this thread. For those that have:

Heath Ledger deserves every award he can get for this performance. Unbelievable.

Let’s keep all discussion of this “E.T.” movie you speak of spoiler-free, okay?

It is pretty sad how the closest theatre to my town is so far away, that it will cost the same as 2 cinema-tickets to get to and from the cinema. So I’ll probably just wait for a good TS-screen. It will first come to my country the 24. or something like that anyway.

11 more hours gentlemen.

Bought tickets for sunday

Like all movie threads before this one. I won’t open this thread until I see if for myself. I don’t want 1 minute of this movie ruined for me. This is the fat lady singing as far as summer movies are concerned, (at least for me).

On a side note I just picked up the New Batman Cartoon movie and I’m gonna get a brew and some Popeye’s chicken and watch to my hearts content.

I’ve watched it twice so far and it only got better. The animation is great and the one I thought I would hate the most (because of how he was drawn…ie, the one with Scarecrow and Killer Croc), is the one I enjoyed the most.

Working Through Pain was a great one also.

The Gotham Knight (animated) DVD was the best version of Batman I have seen anywhere. The stories are so well written and Animated. Batman was BADASSSSSSSSSS all the way through. “Working Through Pain” was probably my favorite out of all of them followed by Crossfire.

Working Through Pain, really showed how deeply effected Batman has become over the years by the violence that created him. Crossfire showed him in almost a God like light.

The DVD as a whole didn’t pull any punches and knew the fans of the original Animated series has grown up and can appreciate a cerebral take on the Batman Mythos. It gets a 4.5 out of 5 for me. I took off .5 because it could have been longer.

On a side note, it’s interesting that DC kicks Marvels ass as far as Animated versions of their comics are concerned. The DC animated movies and properties are vastly superior. On the flip side Marvel is handing DC its ass where it really counts and that is Movies and the 100’s of millions of dollars they are banking in the Box office.

Well said. Working Through Pain should be seen by anyone who lifts seriously.

His response to Alfred was classic.

“I…can’t.”

They should have made this into a mini-series. It was that good.

Agreed. Also Kevin Conroy does a fantastic job as always doing the voice of Bruce Wayne/Batman. He should be the voice of The Bat in every animated version done of Batman.

Six hours… Somebody had better be on here from the Eastern time zone tonight.

Anybody know the over/under for the weekend’s gross on this thing? I’m guessing $120 million. Every IMax show at my local theater is sold out…all weekend.

What’s the record for an opening weekend? I’d be willing to bet this beats it.

I wasn’t alive during the first “Star Wars” movie craze. Does anyone know if that, or any movie since then, has been as hyped?

Only kidding with you. But seriously, NO SPOILERS!

I really hope it breaks both the opening day and opening weekend records. Spider-Man 3 does not deserve to have both.

Opening Day is $59 million.
Opening Weekend is $151 million.
