The Dangers of Too Much Protein

In my mind half these problems could be corrected by simply going back and repeating the research with protein concrentrates in stead of red meat. Ie: whey, casein, etc. Would be a fairly straight forward task. I wonder why it doesnt happen? They wouldnt hesitate to use simple processed sugar, or olive oil in order to determine the effects of those macronutrients on the body. I personally think its that they still see sugar, and oil as food and protein powder as a “supplement”.

It’s actually called rabbit starvation not rabbit fever. I saw Les Stroud on Survivorman talk about it a year or so ago. He said the same thing Wikipedia has on it.

Rabbit starvation is the form of acute malnutrition caused by excess consumption of any lean meat (specifically rabbit) coupled with a lack of other sources of nutrients. Symptoms include diarrhea, headache, lassitude, a vague discomfort and hunger that can only be satisfied by consumption of fat or carbohydrates.

Pretty much common sense really, all fat, all protein or all carb diets would pretty much result in you dying. People choose to leave out the parts that do not support their opinion. IE: that professor must hate meat, meat eaters and meat beaters. Tofu is the only way.

Fuck him gimmie my slab of buffalo steak.

I think the disconnect comes in when they originally started out as Biochem majors or pre-med and get so confused by the chemistry part that they switch to nutrition.

It’s the flag team theory. They aren’t talented enough to make the dance team, but not skinny enough to make the cheer leading team, so they get stuck in the marching band as flag line girls. Nutritionists are the flag line of the medical world, and funny enough they are fat like the flag girls.

haha this is pretty funny and actually probably pretty true

I just about asked you what chem 1 you took. Then I remembered that we did learn orbital theory in chem 1.

Only to find out later in organic that everything we had learned was pretty much wrong.

ahahaha. Sad. And so true.
