I like creating in my mind a humorous (and sometimes elaborate) “back story” for people around me when I wait in line or when I’m bored in groups, or at the airport, etc. This is weird because sometimes, I end up being introduced to these people and the “back story” I created can sometimes influence the interaction.
I HATE modern music, with the exception of '99 - '03 techno. I listen mostly to classic rock from the late 60’s and 70’s (SOME 80’s), golden oldies, old jazz, classical, older country, old big band, etc…
I prefer live shows. I don’t go to the movies if I can help it. But if I do, I HAVE to get popcorn. But I watch plenty of movies at home. Without popcorn.
I like musicals. Jesus Christ Superstar is my all time favorite. Sound of Music, South Pacific, Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma, Babes in Toyland are some of my favorites.
I like Opera, even though I can’t understand it.
I would tend bar for free if I had the time. I LOVE crafting good drinks.
I am rarely attracted to “white american” women.
I enjoy creating socially awkward situations/interactions just to see how people respond to them.
I geek out on electrical theory - on my work bench down stairs, I’ve got an old analog multimeter, an old PLC interface torn apart and a soldering iron and I’m playing with electronic circuits. I fixed an old flat screen TV by replacing some burnt out capacitors. It takes a minute to warm up and turn on though, but it was free.
I’m thrifty about some things. I shop at the good will, consignment shops or “vintage stores” for clothes, but I buy underwear and socks new.
I keep trying to play the guitar but I’m not very good unless it’s a C, G and D song. But I keep trying.
I refuse to let my children play video games, I “make” them read instead. It is the biggest source of conflict in my house.
I could keep going, but most of you know by now, I put the fun in dysfunctional.
