I’m not Christian and I do think there is much to criticise when it comes to Christianity, but every culture has been (and arguably still is) racist. It’s just not a very fair criticism, all things considered.
The rich & powerful elite use whatever system they can to oppress the poor & extract every single advantage they can for themselves, in the previous centuries the tools were religion (or the abuse of it), then it was other ideologies, in today’s developed world it’s capitalism.
The fact is people of all colours/creeds have the capacity to be intolerant & opportunists will use this primal instinct for their own means, how many americans were duped by their own government & mass media into thinking the Iraq war was about terrorism? who benefited in the end?
So rather than focusing on one particular flavour of racism over a certain period of time, look at what happens over and over again and see who has the most to gain…
