The Chicken Sandwich Wars

This could entirely change my opinion. If they have good seasonal shakes then I’ll actually go out of my way a bit to get one.

there’s no better combo than a shakeshack burger and vanilla shake. fuck me if that isn’t the American Dream.

I haven’t had a chic-fil-a shake yet. I only do vanilla or strawberry.

Chic-Fil-A lemonade gets me every single time. The ratio of lemon stuff, water, and sugar is something magical.

It’s a pub over here. Quelle surprise.

Reading through some of the descriptions from you guys, wow, you lot are lightyears ahead of our fast food and burgers!

Same concept with a Steak 'n Shake or Fuddruckers and I gotta agree; except, not vanilla.

did a homemade chicken sandwich today with and without pickles.

pickles are a game changer, sorry.

Half the Steak n Shakes in Stl closed for “remodeling.” Basically they’re complete garbage. Waiting for 30 plus minutes in drive thru, wrong orders, filthy inside. But I do like their burgers and shakes and chili 5 way

That sucks. I’ve only been to one outside of Indianapolis and it was great.

I think it depends on the pickles. I like kosher pickles and could have them with anything.

I think sweet pickles should be gathered up, put into a giant missile tube and shot straight into the sun, All while a “Here Comes The Sun” plays on a loop during their travel through space.

The ones in St Louis are absolute garbage. Filthy. Slooooow. Slob employees.

Sweet pickles are an abomination.

I refuse to walk into a steak and shake. I can’t believe they’re still around.

Right. They’re just poor service and quality anymore.

Proof my phone is spying on me. This popped up on Facebook.

And I laughed.

I love Popeye’s chicken sandwich. Hands down.

I had Popeye’s for the first time last week. I didn’t get the sandwich because the three piece meal was cheaper. It was terrible.

so you went there and didn’t get the one thing people are ordering, arguably the only decent thing on the menu??

hm, ok.

Yep. I can’t imagine one chicken item coming from a drastically different source of chicken. The chicken strips were bad. The pieces of chicken were bad.

Folks around here call it chicken on crack because everything is small. The strips were like the diameter of a quarter.

I had a spicy chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A on Friday and I enjoyed the pickles.

Just had Popeye’s a week a go. Started a new job, and the other engineer I am working with loves it. Monday - Wednesday you can get a meal that is a breast and a wing, choice of side, biscuit and drink for 4.99.

I calculated macros if getting mashed potatoes as the side, and diet coke, and unfortunately not eating the biscuit. I don’t remember the total breakdown, but it was about 700 calories, but like 65g protein. The spicy chicken is better than KFC or Cub foods (I really do like their chicken though) IMO.
