Also, next weeks will involve a 50 lb sandbag. They are super easy to make for at home purposes. Run the Home Depot and by a 50lb bag of all purpose gravel. Place it inside a heavy duty contractors trash bag. Fold and wrap the bag around it, duct taping some as you go, before you get it completely wrapped. Then just duct tape the hell out of the bag. 50 lb sandbag for less than 10 bucks and it is actually pretty durable.

Okay, so since the last one didn’t get done feel free to knock that one out this week if you have time. This weeks is one that can go either indoor or outdoor.
50 dumbbell “Manmakers”
Take 2 30lb dumbells or kettlebells and assume the plank position.
Left arm Row-> Pushup-> Right Arm Row-> Jump to your feet like a burpee-> Clean weight to shoulders-> Press-> Back to Start
That is 1 rep. Knock them out as fast as you can and record your time. [/quote]
Jesus. 50 of these? That’s gonna take me all day!

Haha, I started to put a cap at 20 mins and say that if you weren’t done by then just to say you timed out and count the number.

20 minutes seems like a reasonable cap here. I feel like 10 minutes would be a really good time, and 8 minutes would be awesome.
if it takes you more than 20 minutes to do 50 of those, then you need to do more than 50 of them to build out some endurance and strength. By the way its best after you do the clean to actually do a squat and then do the press

The book that I pulled this from actually caps it at 10 minutes but I was thinking that seemed pretty brutal, or maybe I am just out of shape. You made me feel a little better with your similar assumption.
Did the clap push-up sprint…
Finished 8 rounds exactly at 10:00 and fucking DEAD afterwards.
Sets 3-8 I had to split the push-ups into 5/5 lol. Sprints were cake but my technique is awful so the push-ups take a lot of strength…
Anyone know any movie editing apps for iOS that can speed up replay? I took a video but even I don’t wan to watch a ten minute vid of myself about to smash face on asphalt.

If you did it on asphalt you are braver than I. I got a little over-zealous and bumped my mouth on the ground more than a few times.
Wasn’t sure quite what I wanted to do for conditioning/morning work today so I decided to practice the man makers before I try an all out session.
Fuuuuck. I can’t even do the rows in the prone position and had to put a foot forward. My legs decided to feel sore today from my heavy squat session two days ago (why not yesterday?? The DOMS god works in mysterious ways) so cleaning and then squatting the weight was pretty brutal. Did 5x5 in 19 minutes with two 34lb dumbbells (15.5kg).

Haha, there were some close calls!! And the very last few reps were done forcefully with some weird leg kipping since I knew time was up.
Gay. Might as well do the WOD if they still call it like that.
Well I am going to try to come up with an easy one that is pretty fast.
5 burpees/ 10 pushups x 10 for time

I’m sure I’m gonna get laughed out of here, but I had to youtube burpees…

What happened to this one? I’ve got a 40lb and 70lbs sandbag ready to go!

Ha they have stuck with me from highschool. Every coach in every sport I had loved burpees. For both conditioning and punishment.

Ya we did them a lot in boot camp. I just never knew that’s what they were called…

Oh, damn I forgot about that one. Alright.
Sandbag Shoulder and Squat x50
Start with the bag in front of you → clean it to your shoulder-> execute full squat-> Unshoulder bag and place it on the ground-> Repeat alternating shoulders
Touch’N’Go reps are allowed, each squat is 1 rep.
I’ll will throw up another one in a couple weeks. That’s two for this week. I will be getting my hands on a 53lb Kettlebell shortly so some challenges will be including that.

I did something similar a few days ago. kb swings and burpees, 10 rounds, starting with 1 each, then 2, then 3, up to 10. KB was 44lbs. Finished in like 9:10.

As soon as got my hands on a kettlebell that’s almost exactly what I was going to throw up here.
