What time does this actually air? I’ve watched the pilot/Tarot and the new one on Hulu.
I don’t have TV service, so I’m not planning to watch it more, but I’m wondering if it’s not a kid’s show. Like Dora the Transexual Whore . . . I mean, the Explorer.

Nope. It’s aimed at that 18-34 age group like most other tv in that time slot. It does seem pretty simple though but I missed the first episode…so maybe there is some complexity I somehow missed.
I have to agree. I want to see someone you don’t usually see become a hero like this with a very non-traditional back story…not the same “insert average nonthreatening white guy who won’t scare middle America”.

The main character of a superhero TV series could be a crippled, black neuroscientist and it still wouldn’t make it a good show.
The writing will make or break a show far more than the racial novelty of the premise.

The first season of M.A.N.T.I.S. was superior to anything the Cape has shown.
Except for Glau. I would lick that woman’s old phone bills.

BUT HE HAS A STUBBLE DOESN’T THAT COUNT FOR SOMETHING?

That shows he is a rebel! BE AFRAID MIDDLE AMERICA, BE VERY AFRAID!

True. It was contrived but the main character had some depth in M.A.N.T.I.S. Like X said, this guy playing the Cape is generic as hell. That’s why he is saying make the character something other than your average mid-west white guy. Maybe THEN the writers will actually earn their freaking paychecks for a change.

Yes. That and the sweaty clothes he constantly has on would indicate he has hygiene issues…

Yep…and as stylish and fresh as it was, I think I liked the first one a little better simply because it just focused on how he has only one goal in life…is a little insane (given his imaginary friend), and has no time for anyone to get close.
The second had a deeper story line though and more “real threats” to his own life.
