Chest and triceps
Chest press x 10,9,8,7,6,5, etc
Triceps extension x 1,2,3,4,5, etc
Got through these as quick as possible. Added weight as needed to be near failure each set
Final set of chest press I had 4 plates on each side. I know it’s not a true representation of a bench, but it felt dam cool to be lifting four plates.
Alternating dumbbell chest press and dumbbell fly. On the fly contraction rotated to have pinky’s together. This isolated the inner chest and pumped out the triceps more.
55 lb dumbbells - 3 sets 10 press, 10 flys so 20 reps each
Triceps rope pull down
75 x 20 drop
55 x 15 drop
35 x 15 drop
20 x 50 initial goal was 30, but paused regrouped and grounded out 20 more. All in all it was a really good session.
I’ve been eating super clean today and my stomach is thanking me for it. Never has chicken, brown rice, and veggies tasted so good lol.
Do you think you’ve been sick? Or just stressed? I haven’t been keeping as up-to-date on everyone’s logs as I’d like to, so my bad if you’ve talked about this in another post. I saw where you said that work has been hectic, so maybe stress + lack of sleep?
I think @Frank_C summed it up best. Think it’s a combo of everything. Pushing too hard, long work hours, maybe a little allergies, sub par nutrition. Eating a little cleaner today and lifting with a friend was good for me today for sure. I’ll find my motivation again rat. Thanks

My wife did the session with me today. Should have seen the look on her face when we finished and I told her it was time to start over for round two! She didn’t appreciate my joke lol
I don’t really get why physique competitors wear board shorts, surey their legs look in proportion to their lean athletic muscularity, so why are their thighs hidden and not judged?
I think it was the IFBB and NPCs way of appealing to a larger body of competitors. A lot of guys would be hesitant to get on stage in small trunks like classic physique and even more would avoid the tiny bikini bottoms the bodybuilders wear.
Men’s physique was by far the largest category at my show.
I get that posing in bikini briefs would be unappealing, but something like a runners short wouldn’t put any one off. Is there a specific rule as to how long the shorts need to be?
Here’s what the rules say. Although I don’t think they’re too strict. I sure haven’t seen many with the shorts one inch under the belly button. Most wear them much lower.

The physique competitor look you have is kind of my motivation, I’m not going to say goal, as is probably unrealistic, but you gotta aim high.
