She’s also in Solaris with George Clooney. Interesting movie if you can allow yourself to be still.

BOONDOCK SAINTS by far is one of the greatest movies ever created i reccomend it to anyone who likes being alive
Shepards we shall be
Anyone seen “Joe” with Peter Boyle?
hippies, guns, drugs, and orgies

“The Sorrow and the Pity”

I have to second “The Professional” as a MUST watch. Amazing plotline.
Definitely. I understand there’s a French version of it out there, which wasn’t released in the US but I haven’t been able to find it.
Since we’re talking French films, La Femme Nikita was fantastic and then horribly remade in the US. Also turned into a horrible television series.

…never heard of this movie until i saw it, but was blown away by the story and the kid in: “Fresh”…
…and for the good ol’times: “Bad Taste”…
…“Fallen” is another one, and “Brasil” is a fond memory, as is “Ghost Dog”…
…anyone remember “Jacob’s Ladder”?
I remember Jacob’s Ladder evertime I see a movie that has a “the main character is really dead” type ending, ie Sixth Sense, The Others. Jacob’s Ladder was way better than both.
Other cool flicks…
Ravenous
Versus (Samuria, Japanese Gangsters, Zombies, and a shit load of guns)
And I second…
Blood of Heroes
Ghost Dog
I have to agree with those that said “Wolf Creek” sucked. Was expecting something along the lines of the new “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and it didn’t even come close.
My votes:
Snatch
Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels
Fight Club
Office Space
“Boondock Saints and Equilirbium if you havent seen either of those they are great. Especially Boondock Saints… one of my all-time favorites.”
I was going to mention Equilibrium, but you beat me to it. Huge surprise of a movie. I guess I’ll have to get Boondock Saints on your reccomendation.

Glengarry Glen Ross. Just look at the cast. This is a must see movie for anyone that is on any field that involves sales.
city of god - best gangster movie ever. in subtitles though

It takes brass balls to sell real estate…
I especially love how Baldwin is in the movie for only five minutes, but completely steals the show.
“24 Hour Party People”
“Ran”
“Layer Cake”
“Snatch”
“Audition” - Creepiest #%$^$ movie ever.
“The Three Musketeers” - The 1970’s version, not the p.o.s. with Chris O’donnell

I strongly encourage everyone to rent/buy the movie “Disco Godfather.” A movie like this one comes but once in a lifetime.
There are some variations in the title of this Rudy Ray Moore classic. When I and a friend rented it in 1994 or so, it was “Avenging Disco Godfather”. And I wholeheartedly agree with your assesment.
“I’m known to rise up–
But I cool down latah!
I’m a baaaad motor scooter–
Known as the Human Tornadah!”
Different movie, but still a classic line.
Some foreign movies not yet mentioned:
Les Visiteurs
Avoid the English-language remake.
Xin long men ke zhan (New Dragon Inn)
Mitt liv som hund (My Life as a Dog)
Subtitled version is better than translated version.
Maybe one of you can help me with the title of a movie I saw a long time ago as a kid, I don’t remember much of it. It was probably made back in the 80’s.
The genre is fantasy or something on that level, think background like “neverending story” there’s like two groups, good and the bad, one guy from the good side has like a pet owl or some kind of bird that flys everywhere, the only part I can remember is the bird flying around and one of the bad dudes shoot him down, then grabs it and holds it up in the air defiantly.
I’ve probably tried to find this movie for 10 years, and I’m pretty sure I didn’t dream it. Anyone know what movie I’m talking about?

No that’s not it, newer than that. The costumes were ridiculous, like really glittery and silvery with headbands , I’m sure the movie was corny.
I’m not sure if anyone added “Rad” to the list, awesome 80’s BMX movie with that chick from full house-Jesse’s wife.
Heat- best guy movie there is, screw boondock saints i’m sorry, but the action scenes are ten times cooler, there’s a far superior plot, great directing, top of their game actors (pacino, de niro, kilmer) great cinematography, and a great director.
The Professional aka Leon-(if you’re talking international version) a close 2nd.
Ah Monk, a fine taste.
Gattaca is good, “we must get drunk immediatly”
12 monkeys has to be one of my favorite movies.
