I’d really like to get it measured one of these days for the hell of it - BF % that is.
Name of the Wind is really good so far! I’m a little over halfway. I haven’t honestly read much fantasy besides A Song of Ice and Fire, and half of A Clash of Kings. Typically like my science fiction in space but wanted to change it up. I really like his writing style and the world building is awesome. I’m definitely going to read the next in the series. It’s a bit of an eye roller at times, but I think it’s intentional. I like that the hero is not all good - not above stealing, conning, cheating.
It’s a good book. Sequel is too.
Read Lord of the Rings. It’s the daddy of fantasy. Also, Terry Brooks ‘voyage of the jerle shannara’ trilogy is one of the finest fantasy trilogies I’ve come across (his other stuff is a bit bland). Also check out Jasper Fforde.
Funny you mention it… After Kingkiller Chronicles, LoTR is up next. I’m gonna start with The Hobbit. I have a 1966 copy ($0.95 is the price on the cover
). Then onto the LoTR.

Try Red rising. It is a very fun space opera.

I think you’re right. All in all, this was not good. Though I almost got it, I don’t like anything I did - the pre-rolling, the stance, my feet aren’t planted, my hips are too low.
I lifted fullbody with pretty heavy weight and pretty high volume for me this week (4 days). Felt good all week after taking a week off. The rest and the roids (creatine
) seemed to give me an almost immediate boost. I decided to just go for it. Just getting this up as high as I did gave me some needed confidence. I do think if I back off a bit next week, and then focus on technique when I attempt it again, I’ll be able to get 515 the following week.
I’m feeling pretty fried today, so a couple days off will be good.
Fighting off the flu all week. I’m about 90% today so back at it. But yeah, terrible session other than checking the box.
