I agree-This is pretty excellent organizing. While “state-funded” schools raise a lot of issues, I think that students should have more power and say, and should exercise their power more often than is typical now. I’m not saying I agree or disagree with this particular instance, but I agree on the whole with the concept of increased student agency and engagement and accept the consequences (i.e. the job loss) where it happens.
I think you misunderstand my position. I don’t think mobs of students should be running schools. I think that the fact that the school has such a large pool of emotionally immature, completely un-self reliant, victim seeking students and teachers is proof positive that the school was failing to help produce competent worthwhile adults. I don’t think he should be fired because a drunk frat boy allegedly said something offensive, or someone somewhere wrote something offensive on a bathroom wall. Guess what, that’s the college experience for everyone and you aren’t a special snow flake. Your feelz don’t mean shit in the real world. Learn to deal with it and grow the fuck up. I mean I learned “sticks and stones” in elementary school.
I did indeed misunderstand

Yeah and your only options are be a “good ally” (which means subservience and “accepting” blame for a bunch of shit you aren’t actually responsibly for) or living in constant reminder of how you’re a lessor person because of your race and sex y the greater of society…

Sounds oddly familiar.
Or option three when all else fails, claim you’re transgender and join the struggle for social justice.

I’m not going to lie here. If this was all the rage it is today, say 15 years ago, I would have considered trying to get into an all girl’s school.
Glad I’m not the only one who thought of that.

They want to end racism?
No, not at all lol.

Demanding someone proclaim their “white privilege” is the opposite of ending racism. It’s actually supporting the living shit out of racism. A racism they enjoy and feel empowered by.

I’m not denying racism exists. Sure it does. But trying to “fight racism with racism” and then come up with the necessary rationalizations rather than actually, you know, working to end it like the vast majority of us here on Earth, is fucking silly.
Just saw this … but that’s kind of my point - they “claim” to be standing up for (insert SJ cause here) but are complete hypocritical in their attempt. They are shallow minded useful idiots. They hate bullies so they use bully tactics; they hate racism to they, like you pointed out, engage in racist means to meet their ends (I’m not really sure they have an end … I really don’t think they know what the fuck they’re doing there … i.e. useful idiots).

They’re divisive and are abrasive towards undecided people who want to engage them in serious, thoughtful discourse (or those who have real differing opinions). The only people who swell their ranks are like minded (mindless, really) drones incapable of thinking real thoughts but find it more comforting and easier to regurgitate progressive idioms ad nauseum.

The university cannot even get rid of the professor who called for muscle in removing a reporter at the event, she is tenured.

Her apology to Tim Tai, the student journalist working for ESPN. She did resign her “courtesy appointment” with the Journalism Dept.

It would be interesting to know how many of the students know what the First Amendment is.

University of Missouri encourages students to report "hateful and/or hurtful comments to the police. Yep. At least the ACLU made a statement about that one.

And a fairly inflammatory piece from The National Review, but they get some things right here. BTW, it seems very strange to me - in this age where everyone has cell phone cameras - that there it not a single picture of this “swastika in human feces.” Wouldn’t someone have thought to take a picture of that?

I don’t care that this professor apologized, she is an activist and proven herself to be unfit to teach in an unbiased manner.

There is something about this situation that doesn’t smell right, remember that the first accusations about Michael a down were that he had his hands up and that he was running away, both were prone to be untrue.

I have a sneaky suspicion that at least some of this is fabricated.

First the professor in the video I posted above sends out a tweet asking for media to cover the student hunger strike, then when they show up they are not allowed to cover it ?

First the “hands up dont shoot” hoax, and now a poop swastika.

Meanwhile, the idiot who did the hunger strike is a rich kid who’s dad earned $8.4 million as a railroad VP in 2014. And he is getting his masters in educational leadership. Let that sink in for a second, educational leadership…

Just one more case of made up BS pushing the leftist racist agenda.

I agree, these school leaders should be held accountable for the lack of education they provide. However using a mob crying racism is not the method for which to do it, although it provides a very explicit perspective of what’s being taught in schools these days.

From the first link, I am more convinced this whole thing is fabricated. Cops find no evidence and the alleged photo is an old pic.

Think about it logically for second. If you or i were in the dorm where someone pooped anywhere other than a toilet, everyone would know and there would be a ton of pictures. Gross, but when it’s 2am and you’re fucked up; you’re probably going to be amused by sending poop pictures to friends.

We put up a sign up list in our bathroom for guys who fucked this one girl. It was taken down within an hour, and we got a talking to from the head of the dorm. This was 15 years ago…

Who cleaned it up is a good question? I dont think a student is cleaning feces up, and im pretty sure a sound minded janitor would be pissed and reporting this to someone… If it ever existed

I agree with everything you’re saying, it’s just hard to imagine someone would go this far to make up some shit like this.

Dont be so naive. Where are the pictures of the confederate flag flying vehicles driving on campus? Not one student had their phone out as they were driving around? Come on …

Literally.

It reminds me of the Univ. if Delaware made up hate crime. Sensitive co-eds and clipped-haired lesbian adminstrators were “horrified” at what the reported as “hanging nooses” after a Black Lives Matter rally. They caused a shit storm, but the “nooses” were found to be left over remnants of hanging paper lanterns from a previous event.

Case closed? Oh no. The incident pointed out there is a need for increased tolerance and racial sensitivity according to the University.

Madness.

Extremely well played sir.

Mizzou Students Hallucinate KKK Presence on Campus. This whole thing has turned into a shit show.

Im looking at all this with mixed feelings. (German: “mit einem lachenden und einem weinenden Auge”)

On one hand the sheer ridiculousness makes this top notch Internet-Lol.
One might as well post it in Get A Life.

What makes me uneasy are the insane implications.
Matters of free speech should -one of the core rights of our western societies- can be declared null and void on a whim because of personal feelings?
Young students, supposedly those who identify themselves with “liberalism” and “human rights”, struggle with understanding the basic concepts?

One rather bleak hypothesis would state that the reason for the overwhelming majority of women in key roles in these incidents comes down to their natural instinct for stirring shit up and then getting picked up by the emerging alphas or overabundantly apologetic and generous betas.

From time to time I force myself to look at stupid stupid Twitter during these kinds of things. I saw a Missouri student – white girl – claim that certain articles, I believe they came from the NYT and Washpost, had a “clear pro-free-speech bias.” Even the loopy liberal TV critic for the New Yorker did a double take and answered that she, too, had a pretty strong pro-free-speech bias.

You know what?

I’ve changed my mind on the lefties “free” college plan. Fuck it, let’s just give it away. Because if someone as infinitely stupid as you just described qualifies to attend a single college level class, the degree is already so watered down it is meaningless now. No point in not giving them away.
