These are from a friend who’s in the military. This is the stuff he does. Can’t let him beat me, can I?
It’s not as hard as it looks because some of these are dynamic stretches and they serve as “rests.”

it’s a helluva list of stuff to do. very nice! i thought i read you are leaving for 3 weeks…did i miss where to? vacation or something fun i hope!
it’s a conference/summer school. I go to lectures. They pay my way. It’s a pretty area. I’m having a good time.
I can’t believe you did all that in 40 minutes. Wow.
hike today – but this was a legitimate hike, 45+ degree slopes, the kind that actually gets you winded.
Nice! that is a lot of work. I’m sure its an amazing workout.
Hiking is fun!
trail run. 1 hour 15 minutes – unsure of the distance because I was on a mountain. 10 minutes flat, 50 going up, 15 minutes going down.
trail run sounds awesome. you won’t even need a gym while you are away with training like that.
Sounds good - so much nicer to run outdoors on trails than it is around pavements or on a treadmill.
easy 6 miles.
Tomorrow: mountain 5k.
my 5k time was 28:46.
Bear in mind that this was a mountain run, quite uphill. So I would have done better in a “normal” 5k.
Alisa, great job! Have an awesome holiday.
6 30-s sprints.
That’s a good 5K time. That’s pretty much what I can get on a mainly flat course, so you’re doing well.
Wow 5k in less than 30 minutes, 6 30s sprints… you’re a beast ![]()
4-hour hike – serious enough that I think it counts as exercise.
Absolutely. A one-hour hike at my elevation with the hills can be serious exercise.
Agreed! hiking is like the equivalent to a-gagillion step ups.
Nice running there - you’re quite speedy!

In addition to the arm workout of swatting pesky bugs ![]()
I don’t know how you females do it; running long distances, hiking for 4 hours… inspiring is all I can say.
6 miles, 50 minutes.
If I can do my 10k in about this time I’ll be happy.
