things that damage your hormones

Your E2 is a mess that is decreasing FT and inflating TT. This will mess with energy and libido.

Do not ignore the implications of thyroid issues and iodine. You have already ignored a suggestion to see if body temperatures are normal. See thyroid basics stick for related references. Thyroid function has a may effects and can lead to many of the same symptoms of low T.

E2 is high partly because your liver is not clearing estrogens properly. Liver tests AST/ALT can indicate if liver is stressed. Some drugs/meds, Rx and OTC can interfere with estrogen clearance.

Well I recently went to New Mexico for my undergraduate degree in Geology. We hiked a lot of miles through mountainous terrain, and it was very physically demanding. I was also eating a ton while I was there, but the food was very low quality. I ate burritos from a gas station almost every day, and a lot of pizza/pasta, exc. I was full of energy before the trip. My energy levels were so high I couldn’t sleep til 2-3 A.M. most nights. After the trip, I started noticing more fatigue and my energy levels took a hit. I wonder if I had a spike in e2 levels due to poor eating habits, which lowered my free testosterone. I wish I took blood work before the trip to compare results when my energy was much higher. My libido, however, is much higher now compared to a few months back. I just experience slight ED, but it has improved slightly since I implemented zinc into my diet.

As far as body temperature is concerned, I don’t have the device in order to check it. I do, however, sweat a lot and always feel warm. I also take a multi with sufficient iodine, so my thyroid should be in check. I have trouble gaining weight unless I eat a lot of calories. Otherwise, I lose weight quick

These life stressors you describe have little to no impact on your hormone levels! So you were tired from being on the go and perhaps not feeling yourself from some poor sleep and crappy food. Most people get over this without hormonal checking.

I suppose in the short term, poor eating habits won’t have an impact on hormone levels. The degree of fatty deposits in your liver is negatively correlated with testosterone, and poor eating habits leads to fatty liver disease over time. An example of this was documented in ā€œSuper Size Me,ā€ where one guy developed fatty liver and ED over a span of a month eating nothing but McDonalds. He did, however, take it to the extreme as far as calories are concerned. I’m not against eating fast food at all since its cheap and convenient at times. All I’m saying is that it’s much easier to develop ā€œfatty liverā€ on a poor diet devoid of nutrients. I definitely agree with you that I should stop obsessing and just live my life regardless of my hormone profile.

A thermometer from the pharmacy costs about the same as a happy meal.
