So I’ve been. Trt for Almost 3 months again restarted from ending last September. Here is what I do
.5 ml E4D test E (200/ml)- 200mg every 8 days
.5 ml E4D hcg pregnyl (1000/unit) 1000 IU every 8 days
.5 Anastrozole
My levels have gone up to the 800’s. In the beginning I was taking .5 anastrozole daily the script says take once a day a whole one. I’m trying to
follow ksman protocol but do it so I’m injecting on the same day each time so I doubled his 250iu to 500. Correct me if I. Wrong but iu and ml are the same measurement? About a month nth ago I realized I was taking to many anastrozole so cut back to .5 on injection day. I also realized I’m taking 200 mg test rather than 100 script says 200 since my test is at good levels now should I slowly start lowering the dose to get too 100 mg per week?
So I seem too notice my nuts feel smaller is this in my head? Isn’t the hcg supposed to reduce shrinkage anyway to get them back to. Nor!al size if they are shrinking? I dunno if it matters but libido is/has never been an issue pre/during/or post try, just concerned.
Thanks for any insight
I don’t do the hcg but yes it should help prevent your nuts from shutting down and therefore prevent the testicular atrophy. Things seem to get soft before shrinking so check the firmness, that should tell you. Sex drive and nut size do not go hand-in-hand for me. E2 seems to have a greater effect but you’re AI should be keeping that in check, blood work will tell.
Your numbers are good, any reason you just don’t make it easy and go once a week?
Units (iu) are not the same as mLs. How many units/mL is a function of how much solution it’s mixed in. If you have 10000 iu and add 10mL bacteriostatic water it’s 1000 units/mL. If you add 5 mL water it’s 2000 units/mL. 2 mL it’s 5000 units/mL. For some reason many people have trouble wrapping their heads around this one so you aren’t alone. Insulin syringes are 100 units/mL and so the increments can be read as fractions of a mL OR units. Insulin is 100 units/mL to make math simple. The 200mg/mL vials of depot testosterone that you guys in the states use is a medication error waiting to happen. I’ve seen dosing errors many times on this forum.
I wish this reply page showed your post so I could refer to it as I forgot your other Qs.
100mg of test /week is supposed to be the maximum dose according to the depot testosterone drug monograph. According to my endo 100mg/wk is also a full replacement of normal T. It’s rare to see doses this low on here as people seek quicker results. I think the doubled concentration is partly to blame.
Your testes can change volume in healthy males and the appearance depending on blood flow, vasodilation, smooth muscle state, etc can influence the perception of size. The use of an orchidometer can help monitor changes. It’s simply a string of graduated beads in the shape of a testicle. You hold it next to a captured testicle and match the size. Without hCG I would expect 200mg/week to shrink them to their minimum size.
Thanks for the onsite I became very worried for a moment when I read your post regarding difference of units vs ml. I was using the. Interchangeably because I’m an idiot but my pregnyl is 10000 units with 10 ml biostatic (pic is in linok below)so please correct me if I’m wrong if I put all 10ml into the powder .5 ml will give me 500 ius right? I was using the .5 iu insulin syringes but as I backfill my syringes (do them all at once so I just grab needle and go) I am switching. To 1 ml as the .5 is so small had issues filling.
Another cause leading to my confusion is I backfill from a normal syrgiinge that is labelled in ml’s & I noticed the amounts correlated to the units measurements on the insulin syringes.
I will start tapering off my test maybe .05 ml per week to slowly drop to the 100 mg that will stretch my 10ml vial for 6 months almost! Also it was asked why I don’t just inject 1 time a week this is to prevent the ups and downs in balance I injected once a week the first time I was on trt (got off due to cost) and I had horrible back acne which is indicative of hormonal fluctuations this time around I inject subq and also 2 times every 8 days helps with the “half life” very little backne has been shown
