I just started running testosterone enanthate and am on my 5th injection. I inject in my glutes 250mg every 2 days. Now I realize that a high amount for a newbie but I feel comfortable in starting there. My question/concern is that I get really sore the following day after my injection. Sometimes getting a bit of a swollen area around my inject site.
I’ve tried a lot of remedies for this such as massaging, walking, and even heating pad and nothing seems to be working that great. Does your body just acclimate to the injection eventually or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for the help and advice.
With frequent injections your going to want to use 4 sites IMO. (Left glute, right glute, left quad, right quad). That should give each site sufficient time to recover.
What’s your reasoning for doing Test E every 2 days? With a long eater like that you can get away with 2 injections a week.
I am currently alternating between glutes and the soreness is usually gone when it comes time to inject again. My problem is that it is super sensitive and hurts the next day when I walk, sit down, lay in bed, or even when my pants are tight. Will that go away over time?
Also is it fairly easy to inject into quads safely?
And lastly the reason I inject every two days is that’s what I was told by my brother, who has been running for a while now. He said that the levels will stay constant this way and fluctuations in my mood and hormones won’t happen as readily. Is he wrong?
thanks for all the help
How reliable is the brand of gear your using? I know PIP (Post Injection Pain) can sometimes occur if too much benzyl Alcohol is used to formulate the solution. So might be something you just going to have to deal with.
I jab 2mL of Test E 1 x a week with no PIP at the moment. I know most people prefer to do 2x a week but this suits me better. I’ve done Test E jab twice a week before also and I’ve noticed no difference in 1 jab a week compared to 2. Obviously your call though, it’s your body and your cycle at the end of the day.
However if you learn to back load insulin pins the point is moot, that is literally painless. Although for high doses you will have alot of pokes on your belly but there is none of the tightness or scar tissue buildup from deep IM.

No need in pinning every 2 days with test enan. You are wasting your gear. Pin Monday Thursday. Your levels will not be effected, and your body is honestly probably just flushing out the excess you are putting in. Try left quad, right quad, left glute, right glute, left shoulder, right shoulder, repeat. With this, your muscles are getting 2 weeks off from injections. If you keep pinning in the same place that consistently, you could get an abscess. Then you can forget evening lifting for a while, not to mention explaining to everyone why you have a hole in your ass. Don’t waste the gear, do some research other than your brother and you will find that 2 pins a week with test enan is pleanty.
I just finished my first cycle 500mg/wk TestE/ and I definitely had PIP for the first 3 or 4 pins per site. The first was by far the worst but it got easier and easier. I started pinning EOD by alternating L/R delts, quads and glutes. Still there were a couple weeks where I traveled and had to wait 5 days between pins. Honestly it felt absolutely no different. By week 10 I was pinning Sun. & Thurs. only.
I can empathize with you regarding the pain. I remember those first few weeks. What helped the most was to keeping using the muscle right after pinning to keep the blood flowing and stretching the muscle post workout. Regardless it is just temporary. In another 7 weeks you’ll probably look back and laugh.
The only question I have is what is the gauge and length of your needle? IMO, the deeper the injection the less it hurt.
is 1/2 inch enough? Are your quads very lean? I got 1 inch pins and was wondering how far I’m gonna need to stick them in thought it was all the way but if you using 1/2s ???
Seems to be fine. I don’t get any swelling or bruising. I’m just going with the injection protocol sticky I read in the TRT forum. I read it again and check.
