Later question dealt more with what to I look for post cycle. How to know your not running into major issues. If something does come up, what to do?
On another note, after this cycle I will not start another until the fall. Three months in between. Thoughts…
Current weight is 235 lbs. No specific weight goal attached to first cycle but 250 would be nice if my gains are good.
Oh, one more thing. I will be doing this without my wife knowing. Is that possible? Have any of you “successfully” done this? I’ll blame it on the Animal Pak and creatine and she’ll never know. I’ve even saved old Halodrol Liquigel packages just in case.[/quote]
It’s funny - I did my first, and my current cycle without my wife’s knowledge. She simply would never understand. What was ironic, though, was she noticed all the symptoms at one time or another, but never put two and two together. She pointed out the size increases, especially in my traps and shoulders, oily skin, acne, and of course libido. Honestly, I don’t like the deception, but she doesn’t like the “muscley” look, amongst other things. So, anyway, it is possible, although you have to be sneaky.
I’ve nothing to compare it to, as I’ve only tried the taper, but it seems the painless way to go coming off cycle. Those that have done both say they wish they knew about or tried the taper versus a Nolva PCT protocol. You are also much more apt to keep the majority of your gains by using the taper.
Arguably, you could begin your next cycle after the 12 week stasis and taper. As in, week 12, your 20mg intake of test, and week 13, the beginning of your next cycle.
I am also 39, and my first cycle was 400mg/week for 12 weeks. My biggest recommendation for you, since our metabolisms are not like our younger counterparts is to keep your diet clean. If you can minimize your fat gain during cycle and taper, you’ll obviously save yourself a lot of trouble in the long run. Protein and carbs in the a.m. and protein and fats during the p.m.
Your goal of 250 pounds is easily achievable; you’ll probably do better than that!
