i’ll just bulk up now, keep the weight i gained for at least 4 months after the cycle and then i’ll think about cutting which will be around mid september

smith machine, could you please expand on those short cutting cycles? how do you cycle calories during the off 2 weeks? and what calorie deficit do you take during the ON weeks?
A good bulk followed by a good cut I believe is a good simpler way to go :-).
To be honest I havent run 2 on 2 off cycles yet (I will next time) but have done a lot of research and thinking about them.
I would intake enough calories on a cut cycle that would allow me to maintain weight and strength (or slightly gain) and just increase cardio to burn fat and drop bf%.
Wether 2 on 2 off or 8 weeks on straight i would do it the same.
I believe you will burn more fat in the on weeks but should get similar results in the off weeks.
If strength drops off too much in the off phase (which I don’t believe it would)…I would drop the cardio to a level which allowed strength to stay constant.
