@spinup Ceteris paribus, I would tend to agree absent a diseased state without exogenous drugs. My point is AAS may change the balance by modifying your cholesterol transport. I definitely understand your point about diet, as someone who meticulously goes to the trouble to dial it in. I got you. However, check this out:
You haven’t shared your companion data (like I did above) to see what your lipids were while on oxandrolone. My suspicion is you would be surprised just like @studhammer was.
The only person I have run into here that seems immune to oxandrolone’s effect on lipids is @iron_yuppie, but since his SHBG is so low, I’d be very interested in seeing his baseline lipids (not on) compared to 4 weeks with oxandrolone at 50-75 mg/day. I never asked him what his baseline lipids were and whether he took his bloods while he was on oxandrolone. As you state, lipids typically auto-correct quickly after going off.
Also, my HDL tanks 50% on 15 mg/day oxandrolone and 70% on 50 mg/day. So very non-linear response with all else being the same.
