I rode in a Tesla one time about two months ago… The guy made all of his money from selling his start-up company e-cigarette company to Blue E-Cigs. I want to say sold the company for like $50 million and split it up with the other owners. But sure enough he copped the Tesla and it was bad-ass.
The torque is really what wakes you up. Step on that pedal and it’s got gumption!
We’re this/close to $185 which has been a huge level for nearly a year. The area from $175-$185 has been a bottom for the last 2 years. Any sustained (as a function of time) move under here and we’re going to visit $135.
I bought a bunch yesterday. I’ve decided 180 is the line in the sand, if it drops below that and holds, I’m out. I like it as a buy here not only because it’s just above my line in the sand but also because there’s a good chance they will unveil Model 3 in a couple of months and that could give a nice pop. I’m probably selling these share one way or another because I already had a healthy position.

So what’s the play now that it’s sub $150? Was actually thinking of picking some up on Friday…glad I didn’t. 
Next stop, $135. I’d start scaling in there small, but would be very skittish if the stock broke $120. I’d probably look for a high volume, big down day to buy some more to improve my average and look to get out of half my position on any kind of recovery.

I saw 2 Model X SUV’s driving around town and they are gorgeous, more stunning than the Model S. Why he stalled out for those stupid doors is beyond me.
I would be more patient. The price of this stock follows technical patterns very closely because so many traders, both short and long, play it. Right now it has broken all technical support so the only thing for the price to do right now is fall. The next support I see, which Doc pointed out, is 120 and that support at 120 is flimsy at best because it is two years old.
We really need that Gen 3 to hit big and bring back the enthusiasm and create another upward trent. Until that, or some other stimulus happens, it’s going to be pain for stock holders.

I bought a bunch on the way down at 184ish. I think I said earlier 180 was my line in the sand but of course I was too busy to watch it closely and it fell too fast for me to get a sale in before it was well below 180. I just rode it out without selling or buying any.
If the price doesn’t move much from here I will just hold but if it continues moving up as the Model 3 unveil nears I will sale. I happen to have some shares in my taxable account that are due to have a birthday right before the unveil so that might workout well to sale them just after they become Long Term.
It seems Tesla is coming out with a 100kw battery, it would be a significant 11% increase in capacity from the 90 kWh pack introduced by Tesla last year and more than the traditional 8% increase in battery capacity Tesla has been witnessing across the industry every year.
We can’t really translate the increase capacity to range on a full charge without knowing if it is due to energy density improvements or simply being able to add more cells, but the current Model 90D can travel 288 miles on the single charge, while the performance version can reach 270 miles.

Does anyone on here actually have the newer model S? I’m curious about the autonomous driving feature and how well it actually controls currently. Spending up to 20hrs a week on the road I’ve been waiting to be able to at least free up a few hours of freeway time. It’s pretty awesome that the hardware is all there on newer models and that they are releasing the software to update the driver less functionality.
Can they deliver ? Also like the new upgrade to the front fascia.

Doc, I sold all my shares at 255 figuring all the good news was in and price would fall. Share price has held strong since then, what do you think, be patient or get back in?
I am glad to report that Hyperloop had it’s first successful test yesterday, reaching 400mph in just 2 seconds.
