I too got a kick out of that one.
Teenage girls in Stockton get wet chasing farmer’s sons in big pickups because of the US involvement in Vietnam in the 1960’s and early 70’s.
I think Bert has his Domino Effect theory all screwed up but then again… that’s just Bert being Bert – brilliant at times and – a complete loony tune at others.

It was an off-hand comment not meant to be taken that seriously. I really don’t know why we send so much rice to Asia.

I started a thread about that a while ago, right after I applied.

Because they have over a billion people over there, and 3 tractors. They are still farming with 17th century technology.
Not to sound too much like a John Deere sales rep, but there is not a more efficient producer of foodstuffs on the planet than the american farmer/rancher.

Federally mandated tax collection versus a state usage tax.
LOL. You’re not a very bright kid, are you?

LOL I kinda like you. You are sort of like the conservative version of me with your brash insults. Just not as smart.
The internet sales tax goes to the state’s coffers, not the federal ones, idiot. Which is why (try to keep up here) I compared it to…wait for it…state tax revenue!!
But what you are trying to say is it’s ok if the states take all your money, but not the fed gubment? Got it.
[quote]VTBalla34 wrote:

And I bet your mommy told you that you were a handsome little man, too didn’t she. I don’t want to burst any self-image bubble you might be living in, but every mom worth their salt does their best to convince their sons that they are smart and handsome. Kinda like Burger King hands out those paper crowns. If it makes you feel better - knock yourself out.
Quite aware of where the collected tax revenue would be going. Obviously, you are not. I’m not surprised at your cluelessness, but shocked that you would display it so proudly.
I think state tax collection issues are the responsibility of that individual state. I don’t think the federal government should be stepping in to do Amazon’s bidding for them. If the states pass a tax they can’t collect, then maybe they should revisit the soundness of their decision.

Well you don’t, but apparently the people of NC are okay with it, which is why their gov has done this. If you live in NC you would vote against the officials responsible for this, move, etc…

Is the Tea Party going to get involved here? I know they’re for less taxes and less governmental regulation, so it seems like this sort of issue is right up their alley. This isn’t happening only in NC. There are several other states with similar measures in place. Is the Tea Party going to go after the way these states do business? Or do they just go after the ones with primarily Democratic govts?

So to recap:
-Countingbeans makes a comment that this issue is about state revenue
-I liken it to the Internet Sales Tax which is about gasp state revenue
-Drunkpig somehow distinguishes between “federally mandated tax collection” and “state usage tax” as if the federal proposal institutes a tax that doesn’t already exist
-I point out that their intended purpose is the same (remember: state revenue)
-Inebriatedsow somehow concludes that I am not aware of where the collected tax revenue goes.
LOL
Too dumb to be a serious poster, or too smart to be a troll…you decide…
I take back what I said about you being a conservative version of me. I don’t have a problem following the trail of conversation. You seem to be quite a ways off the tangent path. Good enough to earn you a spot on my coveted ignore list right beside of DoubleDuce, Zeb, and other useful idiots.

I got stopped by a lady cop
In my automobeeeeeeeeel
She said get out and spread yo’ legs
And then she
Tried to cop a feeeeeeeeel
That cop she was all dressed in blue
Was she pretty?
Boy I’m tellin’ you!
She stuck my butt with her big black stick
So I said
What’s up? Now suck my dick!
Like a ram gettin’ ready to jam that lamb
She whimpered just a little when she felt my hand
On her crotch so very warm
I could feel her gettin’ wet through her uniform
Proppin’ her up on the black and white
Unzipped and slipped
Whoooo! That’s tight!
I swatted her like no SWAT team can
Turned that cherry pie right into JAM!
Did I do it right?

As I mentioned in my posts back then, I firmly believed that there was a racist element within the Tea Party since I had seen plenty of racist posters and whatnot with my own eyes at a Tea Party rally I attended back then in Sacramento. That doesn’t mean that I am against the idea of smaller govt, less intrusion into our private lives, fiscal conservatism and a more isolationist stance in our foreign policy (not sure how the TP stands on that last one).

As you know, racism is bound to happen in SMALL segments of any big organization. And while I won’t tell you what you saw or didn’t see with your own eyes, the Tea Party has done a great job of squashing any racist comments/posters/banners/etc. at their rallies. Once again, glad you are for a smaller govt. Do you still think the Tea Party has as much racism as you initially thought? I go to numerous Tea Party events here in Arkansas, and I see people concerned with the size of govt. way more than color.

The only thing remotely representing a TP gathering that I’ve been to since was when Ron Paul came into town and spoke on the Chico State campus. I went and was standing in the front row for that one. Didn’t see anything racist, although the crowd wasn’t very diverse. 99% were white college-aged students and the rest were curious onlookers and faculty members.

In case there is any confusion, my posts on this matter shouldn’t be taken as me condoning the laws. Rather my speculation on where the idea for the law originates.
I’m not a particular fan of this law, nor the internet sales tax, but I do feel there are worse things on the table currently.
