I think people misunderstand the point I made.
It’s not his methods or what he achieved I disliked, I actually agreed with a large many of the things he said and he was huge.
However, he was a cunt.

From here on out, every thread about a black guy must turn into a discussion about Professor X.
It has been written.

Terry Crews is black?
I just thought he always had a stage tan.

that’s racist!
Nah, I feels you… dude could be a dick… lol
My main point is just on the whole internet bodybuilding scene in general… so many people so critical of how others do things… like ibnhama posting up his squat videos a while back and people telling him his form was atrocious… while he was apparently one of the top lifters in his class already… you can see his most recent lifts pretty high up in the Powerlifting forum currently… I agree with a lot of what the p3nwisher says on ROM training after witnessing it first-hand raise my squat from a very long plateau by just… check this… not being so anal about depth like half the members on this forum… too many people acting like their way is the only way and, I bet, if they stepped back and were a bit more open-minded to trying new things… they would find new growth…
This is why I routinely find myself rotating periods of frequency, volume, intensity, good form vs. less good form (lol) and, honestly, fuck what most people say… I’m done b/c I still have a long way to go…

Terry Crews’ goal is not to build the biggest legs he can, nor do I think it ever was. I’ve work with quite a few high end athletes, and while all people to some degree like to look good, professional athletes prize performance over all else. If he built his legs to the degree they’re at in the posted pics, I certainly tip my hat to the man.

With all this talk about X, I have to wonder: where did he go? Also, where did I go for that matter? Just now realizing how long it’s been since I’ve posted.

Agreed.
He had great points and I saw no need to ever disagree with anything he said when it came to training, but he really liked to argue I think.

He’s probably found another hobby that allows him to insult and argue with people on the internet who are actually trying to agree with him.

He did love to argue and was the biggest cunt on this website.
The forums are nowhere near as hostile as they used to be, which is great. A lot more discussion with a lot less bullshit arguing all because one ‘guy’ has ceased to ‘real talk’ our brains to death.
I think he has aspergers… thats my professional internet opinion btw
I like Prof X, he used to give solid advice when it came to lifting and I have very little sympathy for people who get all butthurt because he was (is?) not gentle enough.
I would rather have truth, or at least a different perspective, rammed into my face, than having a shiv slid into my back oh so gently…
You guys do not deserve the awesomness that is the Prof X!

I agree for the most part.
It’s the drama we could all do without, and although most of the initial blame for that goes to his detractors, he perpetuated it ad nauseam.

So very true.
That people became increasingly put off by his (so very deliberately) inflammatory/condescending writing style became a clear indicator that the ‘average IQ/reading comprehension’ on these boards was falling.
Either that, or more people began expecting some normative baseline of ‘positive friendliness’ to strictly prevail… on an internet forum, no less.

Is that him? He looks like he can jump back into the wrestling ring today.
You guys are so off base it’s ridiculous. Once upon a time, X was a genuinely helpful guy. His no nonsense attitude and advice was appreciated. People respected him because his advice was solid and he had the size to back it up.
But then, something fucking snapped in his head. His posts degenerated from helpful advice to tantrums that would put a toddler to shame. He couldn’t grasp the concept of pre-exhaust. He gave out advice on how to cut to single digit body fat despite never doing so. And he created countless after fucking countless thread after thread about natural bodybuilding limits. He wanted everyone to sing praise that his way was the only way, that he has been making infinite progress. (Brb I gained 5 lbs and look leaner at this weight.)
God help you if you posted an opinion contrary to his. He would spam post after post, ignoring logic used against him and suspending logic when talking to others. Dude would say countless times that there was an agenda against him, that a possy of unruly Tnationers would collaborate on how to make him appear illegitimate. Rather, he did this on his own.
Put LIMITS in the search bar and see for yourself.
I have no idea what happened to him. He would predictably derail every thread he entered and was unable to see that he was at fault. I’ve never seen such pathetic behavior from a 40 year old man, and I genuinely hope he seeks professional help for his deep rooted issues. Until he does, good riddance to him.

To some degree I agree, but I would would rather have a man worth his salt commenting that goes off on a tangent here and there, than a man who does not know what he talks about.
Prof X is clearly the former and paying the price for listening to the talent is preferable to avoid being butthurt at all cost.
