Terrorists & Liberals in Shock & Awe!

Kerry is hanging back now. He is talking softly and carrying a big stick.

A lot of Democrats are frustrated by this tactic and want Kerry to light it up.

If Kerry actually just “said whatever he thought people wanted to hear” (as the stereotype goes) he might decide to go along with that tactic. But he doesn’t, because he has patience and resolve.

Another thing, almost every week there is more bad news for Bush. Last week Cheney cursed out a Senator, and Bush spent 70 minutes being interviewed (along with his lawyer) by the investigator running the case to find out who in the White House outed a CIA operative to the press.

If Kerry just jumped on every new story it would be “un-presidential”. Kerry will probably leave most of the negative campaigning to Bush, and it is hard to talk about issues like what happened that day in Iraq (for example) without sounding like an unpatriotic second-guesser.

Kerry IS making his platform known, every time he makes an appearance. However it is not being covered by the network news. It’s not considered newsworthy yet, apparently. Most people have a limited appetite for this type of thing, and the major networks are afraid of burning the public out early, at least that is the usual rationale they give. Try looking for Kerry on C-SPAN, they cover appearances by both candidates.

I’ll be curious to see what you think of the three upcoming presidential debates.

Lumy,

He has also taken a lower profile because polls show that the more people see of him the more his positive numbers go down! Gee, you think that will have any effect by November?
