I am willing to bet the Left will use this as a way to try and get their health care bill back on track. I don’t know how much pull that would have but it would be interesting to see if they go that route.

And here was me thinking this would be a thread about remembering Ted Kennedy.

Oh well.

What’s to remember. He killed a woman while driving drunk and nothing happened to him. He was a piece of crap then and still is now. Ask Mary Jo Kopechne’s family if they’re sending flowers.
Well actually, he wrecked the car, left her for dead, went home, called political friends, and only talked to the police after her body was found. Then after a questionable police investigation got off scott free.

We certainly can. Kennedy does not fall into that category.
I didn’t agree with his politics, but I do believe he thought he was doing good.
There’s been a great deal of evil in this world done by men who thought they were doing doing good, to include that list of men below.
We should rarely revel in the death of another. (Hitler, Bin Laden, Che Guevara, and other such mass murders notwithstanding.)

As always, vile scum posting on the board that can’t let a dead man be.

But it’s us liberals who are so full of hate, of course… the hypocrisy in the GOP Blowjob Barn is at unmitigated levels today, I see.

I’ve posted nothing but fact. I have not said a single hatefull thing.

I, however, am not going to be memorializing his death. I do actually believe the nation is better off without his politics, but that has nothing to do with why I donâ??t think the nation should shed tears over him.

Oh, you have your hate…you may hide it away better than the rest of us but you still have it. Do not pretend otherwise, oh infallible one.

Both you and John S. have a lot of growing up to do. You don’t say someone deserves to die because you disagree with them politically. That’s nothing more than childish antics to garner attention from the conservatives on this board.
No, I don’t say someone deserves to die because I disagree with them politically. I say Kennedy deserves to die because he actively used the government to enslave me personally. The man attempted to make me a criminal. Ted Kennedy was a much greater threat to my life and my liberty than Bin Laden ever was. Politics is not a simple game when it impacts our inalienable rights. TK was an enemy to them and I’m glad he’s dead.
In case you were unaware Teddy was liked by almost everyone he worked with on Capital Hill. You don’t have to have the same views of the world to like someone you imbeciles.
Wow, so TK was liked by a whole bunch of other people I’d like to see dead. I’m sure Hitler was loved by more people than TK but I’d have revelled in his demise as well. We need to grow up as you say and recognize that it’s not okay to just shake hands at the end of the day as friends when it comes to some areas in politics. Your critique would also be fair if Kennedy were not in office. But the fact is that every day he sat in office was a day he used the most powerful weapon on Earth, the U.S. Government, to attack me personally.

But then again, no fear, I’m sure Kennedy’s corpse will still manage to get re-elected.

I see the smoldering wreckage of his legacy all around me every day. I’ve said a hundred times I do not see leftist statist political policy as a mere difference of opinion. It’s the death or survival of this nation. He was on the side of death, but even then "hate’ is the wrong way to view how I saw him.

In Massachusetts, if you drive your car off a bridge in a drunken stupor, leave your passenger to die and use your elitist status to pull the right strings, not only do you not go to jail you get to be senator for 40 more years. Kennedy is far less despicable than a populous that would vote him into never ending perpetuity knowing what a characterless lowlife he was.

For the longest time I thought that was already the case.

Those are “hatefacts” - facts that liberals can’t refute but seek to make unmentionable by attacking the character of those mentioning them. Joe Guzzardi coined the term.

Try to set aside your ethnic solidarity with Kennedy for a moment and think clearly. Are there many GOP supporters on this thread? I think John S. is the only one.

We’re not supposed to gloat over the deaths of murderers, so RIP Ted Kennedy. He served his country in the way he thought was right.

So what does that make Mary Jo? What about her family, Vile scum is what Kennedy was. He killed my daughter or wife or sister, he would not have made it to the next week. He’s a piece of shit then, now he’s a rotting smelly piece of shit. I care less about him being dead than Michael Jackson.

Just because he has the Kennedy name doesn’t mean he should get away with crap like he did. Or I guess it does.

I used to have a bumper sticker that said, Ted Kennedy killed more people with his car than I have with my assault rifle, nuff said. He spent his entire career trying to take my guns away, among the other stupid shit he did. Showed a lot of nerve when he was more of asafety risk tot eh public than I ever was.

Piece of shit then, decaying piece of shit now.

Before Kennedy, immigration was basically restricted to highly educated people. The Immigration Act of 1965 basically made it so preference be given to half-educated barbarians who would vote democratic. This was equivalent to letting the Vandals and Goths settle on Roman land. What happened to the Roman Empire after that?

“Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 (Hart-Celler Act, INS, Act of 1965, Pub.L. 89-236) abolished the national-origin quotas that had been in place in the United States since the Immigration Act of 1924. It was proposed by Emanuel Celler, co-sponsored by Philip Hart and heavily supported by United States Senator Ted Kennedy.[1]”

Kennedy sold his country down the river, for votes. He was a devil.

If only people could be made to understand this. Not just Kennedy though.

I don’t wish brain cancer on anyone (maybe some Bin-Laden types). I’m not cheering his death. HOWEVER, he certainly doesn’t deserve the mass media fellating that we will be forced to endure for the next few weeks. He DID commit vehicluar manslaughter (at least) and use his family’s political power to get off. Not someone to celebrate. Also, for all the “Compassionate” liberals out there, if Bush died in a car wreck tomorrow, you guys would throw a fucking parade.
The Mage wrote:

Ted Kennedy was probably one of the most successful politicians around. And unlike his brethren liberals, he understood how to work with the opposing side, and make slow advances. Completely opposite the current “We need this done before next month!!” philosophy being demonstrated now.

I didn’t agree with his politics, but I do believe he thought he was doing good.

We should rarely revel in the death of another. (Hitler, Bin Laden, Che Guevara, and other such mass murders notwithstanding.)

RIP
My thoughts precisely.

I was more depressed that the dog shit in my yard dried up and blew away. He killed Mary Jo and got away with it and he was a complete self serving self indulgent asshole. John and Bob got picked off in their prime and we had to endure the stupidity of their pathetic brother for 4 decades. It’s sad that it took death to get his dumb ass out of office, but we all will be better off. Shame on Massachusetts for constantly re-electing that prick.

BTW, if you hold stock in an adult beverage company, it’s a sell day.

I disagree with his opinions yet respect him for being a soldier for his cause. You HAVE to respect someone like that. I am not going to talk badly about a dead man, because disagreeing is not enough for me to talk badly.

This thread was not intended to gloat, I was simply informing everyone. When someone posted there thoughts on the matter and I agreed with them I let it be known. I did disagree with this man on his politics, but I have no sympathy for a murderer.

This is a thread to talk about the man, his politics, and his life. Their are a few people in the world I would throw a party for if they died, this man is not one of them.
