Taking Shots of Olive Oil

Hardcore? Ask Tiribulus what he puts in his mason jars…and then come back and complain about drinking a little olive oil.

There is no “magic” amount of olive oil that is “just right” for everyone. This is like asking what the “best” training program is. There are no “seekretz” you have to experiment. Start with 1 tbsp and see how that affects you.

I find it’s easiest to keep down with a hot cup of green tea.

It’s a great way to get in the extra fat calories, and you can apply it to other fat groups like flax oil for polyunsaturates, and heavy cream for saturated fat. You get used to taking your fats this way on the AD though.

it’s not been mentioned so I thought I would chime in…if you are going to go for the hardcore shot glass of oil thing…I chop up a bunch of garlic cloves and drop into the bottom of the bottle I’ll be pouring from. Extra heart health benefits plus a less offensive taste :slight_smile:

Switch to ELOO (extra light instead of extra virgin) and pour it in a glass with a couple inches of water in it. Swirl the water, then pour the ELOO to the back of your throat while holding your nose.

Then drink a chaser to clear it out (e.g. a half glass of water or crystal light or whatever).

It goes from brutal to easy.

I’ve been taking shots of ELOO for almost three years now.

What’s your BF %? Sure your not “plateauing” and should start cutting, or change up your workout?

The whole milk and everything sounds good, maybe try peanut butter and a spoon instead of drinking olive oil if you want.

Or just eating good nuts in general would be beneficial.

I really like olive oil and its bitterness. So, if you can’t take it strait…just mix it in your shake and the taste should be remedied that way.

Same here, I don’t do it anymore, I’m in a pretty carb-heavy diet so I don’t need the fats.

For the first week I’d pace around the kitchen like I was about to do a max squat set humming metallica, then down it and go nuts. It didn’t taste as bad after a few times, and I didn’t have to get amped up or anything and now I could go do it with no big deal. It doesn’t taste as bad as BCAA or anything so suck it up.

I have some peanutbutter with a spoon daily, never tried shots of olive oil but i doubt it’ll taste as good as pb

Add a splash of vinegar, a clove of garlic and a pinch of sea salt to your olive oil shot and it becomes quite enjoyable, and probably even a little bit better for you.

Dude I can drink olive oil straight without a problem whatsoever. Being Italian I grew up with this stuff EVERYWHERE. Heating olive oil in a pan and poured on the scalp kills lice in just 1 go around. Note: warm it up, dont heat it up so much it burns your friggin’ head. I remember seeing Italian women bringing a small bottle to the beach in the summers, and using it as lotion on their skin and hair. Awesome stuff.

My grandfather’s idea of a dessert was a glass of olive oil and a jalapeno pepper.

I’ve never taken olive oil shots, but when I was on the AD I would freeze little butter cubes and swallow them.

Olive oil would have been easier.

honestly, there are easier and better tasting ways to get in extra calories. I don’t understand this fascination with taking “shots” of olive oil. do you do it because it make you feel “hardcore”? because to me it just sounds dumb. if you need extra calories why not just go eat some food?

Because if someone is already taking in 3500+ calories a day it’s a huge pain in the ass to eat more solid food?

Two shots of Olive Oil goes down quick and easy.

eating 3500 calories a day is a huge pain??? when your above 5k a day we can start talking, until then I just envy you… cutting sucks…
