This was new to me too, but some googling did pull up some production of the enzyme from FSH. It can’t be all of aromatase enzyme production tho, otherwise guys on TRT would have zero aromatase and zero e2.

You know I never understood this notion with E2 and these forums because I see these 2 following things constantly preached and they sort of contradict each other:
Statement 1: Never take AI, if you need to control your E2 dose more frequently. Or lower your dose. Or do both.
Statement 2: High E2 on paper should be no problem if you have high T. Some men should even take estradiol pills.

Im in the same situation as OP but my e2 levels on bloodwork is normal. Ive been taking oral e2 with no effect
