Pleased with my time as my running has been minimal post BB block.
Need to find a rhythm.
5k runs require a shit ton of recovery as well. Can’t see tomorrow’s weights session being a day in the park. Legs are already feeling like strawberry laces.

Before the military I ran 5ks and 10ks alternating every day while also lifting every day and eating in a deficit
It was hard at first but the body got used to it very quickly, only thing was that I don’t find distance running all that interesting

I plan to do one every 1 or 2 weeks for this block. I’ll see how I feel tomorrow. The mere thought of it now, as I sit here on my couch, nursing a coffee, fills me with dread

Complexes are a nice way to get conditioning work in without running (also you can include weights, which sounds fun until you try it and cry yourself to sleep as it was hard as hell)
You could use them in addition to running

STRENGTH WORK
Weights felt light today. Lower back felt fresh.
Slight doms from yesterday’s run.
Threw in some more accessory fluff today thanks to more gym time being available.

CONDITIONING WORK
Chins, dips, kb swings and rowing, done for time
Tough session. Interspersed with a bit of chat with a few gym members.
Enjoyed this session. Going to stick with it and bump up the reps every session
Have you tried the chin/pushup/lunge ladder thingy yet?
Not yet mate.
The one I have in mind is a GC session from Tactical Barbell 2.
Chins
Burpees
Dips
Squat jumps
10 - 1 ladder style.

Really grinded through this one. Really feeling it today. Muscles are aching, particularly the lats.
Finished off with some curls and pullaparts

Working in a gym really does bring you into contact with a load of ‘know it alls’

Rowing, kb Swings and military press
This drained the shit out of me. Rowing stroke felt as weak as American beer.
Swings were hitting the shoulders hard as well. Just one of those days I guess. A Donkey Kong day so to speak.
ENDURANCE WORK
Easy 30 odd minute run on the treadmill.
