T-Nation Meet Ups

No shit. I’d been to Germany as a kid but went back to Munich for Oktoberfest a couple years ago and was highly dissatisfied. With the beer. Cool country though. And the party itself was a blast.

Bullshit on no one cares.

Good for you, Spock!

ACTUALLY, I changed my mind about what I want to make for my hypothetical company.
Now, I don’t know if everyone likes meat as much as I do, drool, but I found this recipe online for this layered meat cake thingie.

It’s got meat, then a melty cheesy bacon layer, then another layer of meat, and then it’s covered in mashed potatoes.

Ummm address please?

I go to Prague for my beer now. This side of Europe just isn’t the place for porter fans. So if anybody comes to visit I need a case of assorted American microbrews, of the dark variety.

Nah, I’ve made no secret of the fact that I’ve been a huge fan of theirs over the years. Seriously, have a great time at their show. Their performances are simply electrifying.

Hi, Bird’s guy friend. Keep that stuff between you two kids, eh? Thanks.

As njrusmc mentioned…I mostly stay in NC, except when I drive up to NH to visit family. Then I try to meet people on the way there/back. In Jacksonville. Always happy to get a session and/or meal in with other people in the area that are serious.

This is a bit off topic (like all my posts), but I was wondering if anyone lives in Kentucky and can tell me about this mammoth cave thing I was reading about?

I have always loved thy mammoth, and I was curious why this cave was named after the great beast. Where there fossils discovered there or something??

Someone should start a “questions from around the world” thread so we can all learn interesting facts about where everyone lives.

That cave system was named for it’s size, it has nothing to do with the mammoth. If you like the animal, you should go to the Royal Alberta museum. When I was in the area last fall, they had a nice exhibit on the mammoth and I think it is still there.
