T-Nation Guitar Players' Thread

So this band is essentially the only endorsed Tribute band by RR’s family. Interesting, I noticed they had a new guitar player in this vid. And I thought I recognized him. Turns out it is Shin Take - an awesome guitar player from Japan who I have been friends with on youtube for a few years now. Guy cops Randy PERFECTLY, and had tons of Ozzy covers on his youtube channel - and now gets tapped for the PERFECT gig. Thought that was very cool…

Interesting - I tend to speed pick with my wrist, but my forearm is moving too - it’s definitely not rigid. Just did this vid to see…

That’s exactly the same way i pick now though i tend to rest part of my palm on the E string.

Nice clean picking in the vid!

Thanks!! : )

This painting is from like 1500 - 1600 and there are several things that catch my eye
Her picking pinky appears anchored on guitar thing she is playing
Books and picture frame look the same
Clothing hasn’t changed that much either.

All in all, scene looks remarkably modern to be from 4-500 years ago.

Would not.

…hit it, that is.

You can tell by her expression, she is speed picking and looking over at the lute player to let him know that the solo is going for a few more bars.

And yet you wouldn’t hit it…

Chicks that play guitar dont turn me on. Mostly cause they usually suck. Also because im tired of people on youtube slobbering over mediocre looking chicks just cause they are mediocre at guitar.

Chicks who can sing and play piano, thats kinda hot.

Also, i guarantee 16th century bitches dont maintain down there or know how to suck dick particularly well.

Naming a chick whos truly good at guitar is like naming a rapist who’s really not that bad of a guy anymore; They are out there, but they are very few and far between.

I had a wood tone explorer for a little while.

Yeah, i have this problem with a lot of really talented jazz fusion guitarists like GG, Shawn Lane and Frank Gambale. Insane technical skills but i find that they often lack the ability to produce truly moving music.

heres my baby.

my acoustic is identical to this one(but no pickguard). it was built by Bill Bonanzinga

Was attempting some George Lynch today.

Homemade strat straight through Carvin Legacy.

HA! Thanks man. Literally the first time I’ve played in weeks because of work travel. Just wanted to chill and jam a little yesterday.
