T Level Test Results

so i saw the doctor and brought up the concerns. he said the ultrasensitive E2 test was fine. he put me on HcG, 2000 iu’s every 3 days, what do you guys think?

stupid

hes trying to avoid T at all costs cause im only 20 and want to have kids, i think the hcg will desensitize and put me on T anyway, any thought?

yes, that is the general consensus

Hey guys, just wanted to give an update and get some advice. So my test levels etc were low, Dr. put me on clomid to try a restart test. numbers went up to 800s, then decided to cut it off to see if i woulod stay up there, tanked down to 230s. So now Dr. has me try hCG 2x per week 2000ius each inject. After 1st week i had gained 5 pounds, felt fat bloated, even though eating normal amt, working out etc, so he cut dosage down to 1000 ius 2x per week, got blood tests done after more than a month, numbers were still low, not sure about TT cause lab fuked up but FT was still low normal E2 was normal range, even though none of the bloat, fat never went away. So Dr. tells me to go back to 2000ius twice per week to trya nd raise TT and use 150mg zinc a day as aromatase inhibitor. After talk to doc, says he will have me take 1/4 arimidex pill twice per week with 2000 ius hcG twice per week and see levels in a month.

What should i do? I have been on this trying to fix it path for almost 5 months now, felt horrible on hCG. Any adivce would be greatly appreciated, thanks

bump

The trail told you something very important: You are not primary hypogonadal…you actually were able to achieve very good levels, which indicates your testes are functional given the right stimulation…

Your initial LH/FSH were low which combined with your low T levels indicates that your pituitary is not producing enough LH/FSH for your testicles to respond optimally (secondary hypogonadism)…what is causing this? Did your doctor offer any suggestions as to what is cuasing it?

Have you had an MRI to rule out pituitary tumor?

I’m not aware of the long term side effects of SERMs, what did your doctor say were the bad side effects? You should do some researching online and determine if the side effects are something you are willing to live with…

Your doctor may have a good plan with HCG only medication, since that will essentially replace your LH/FSH as far as the testicles are concerned. Problem with hcg is leydig desensitization with too high a dose, and the “right” dose that does not cause desensitization may not be enough to stimulate your testes enough by itself…if it is great, if not you wil also need Testosterone.

I do not think your body is going to suddenly “wake up” and start producing adequate abouts of LH/FSH after you discontinue hcg in two months…but if you want to avoid TRT and try this as a last ditch effort, then I think that’s probably ok…[/quote]

VT pretty much nailed it with his response earlier.
Have a read of VT’s response again, the guy is switched on and in his post he suggests the path to follow.

ok so get a pituitary mri?

isnt 4000 ius per week a high dose?

the long term clomid use had alot of problem, its toxic on liver

just thought of this, could a variocele and my balls cause this? or late puberty?

You have ignored a lot of advice, what do you expect?

Quest ultrasensitive is NOT ok for E2. Get Quest Sensitive #4021. Your doc is misinformed. Ultra sensitive is for pregnant women, which I’m pretty sure you are not.

For the 4th time going to suggest Vitamin D-25OH, CORTISOL(most important), B12, and ferritin.

But you will probably do none of this, keep asking the same questions and wonder why no one is helping.

i keep googling online ultrasensitive estrogen test and it says thats the way to go for men, the first test i had screwed up, others since then have been fine. i will ask my doctor to do those tests and hopefully he will run them.

sigh

Makes me wonder if some people actually want to get better.

If those are the sources you want to listen to, why don’t you open up an account there and have them help you? Like minded folk should stick together.

the reason some ultrasensitive tests come back with the <2 is that they were mishandled. I dont see the problem, so please explain?

I have high cortisol levels from other stressful problems that I cant really control but am trying to improve. My Dr. says the test is pointless becasue my cortisol will be obviously high

I want to get better, sorry if i came off as confrontational, i jsut want to get better.

DR. finally listened and prescribed my arimidex .25mg 2x per week to fight the fat and water gain. He still has me on hCG 2000ius twice per week for 2.5 more weeks then i retest

i willl do the waking body temps now that i am home from school and have a thermometer

Latest test results, on hCG but not arimidex yet
TT 596 range 250-1100
FT 115.6 range 35-155
E2 23 range <29
