So are you saying that is was unhealthy of me to send announcements to my family and friends when I was invited in? Should I get rid of the tattoo on my ass? You really are a fun sucking, rack curling kind of guy.

No,no,leave the tattoo,it’s a classy touch. The announcements might have been a bit over the top though.

I agree. I especially like the way the A in “T-Cell Alpha” looks, curling suggestively toward your…er…muscles.

Are you sure you understand the definition of “indifference”?[/quote]
I don’t feel indifferent at all. Never did. I’ve consistently said that I think it was a crappy idea, and I exercise my freedom as a constructive member to do so within the open forums. I think it’s time you get used to the thought that not everyone agrees with your viewpoint - however forceful you make it known - and move on.

What - for having a consistent viewpoint and answering one post by someone else - after weeks without saying anything on the topic? Yeah, I feel a whining fit coming up right now - at the seeming inability to accept some dissent.
For those of you who want to be in the T-Cell, have you ever asked Professor X (or whoever else) to let you in?
Do you think you’re going to get an invite out of thin air? Don’t you think sending a PM to Professor X asking to be in would be a lot easier than sitting around and hoping you get picked to join one day?

I wonder what the criteria is for getting approved by the approvers. Care to shed some light on that X?
I thought when it first started that other T-Cell members were able to allow people in, did that change?
Yes, because a good person would let a marginal person in, who would let a troll in, who would wreak havoc and ask whether to cut or bulk. Or something like that. I wasn’t really paying much attention when it happened.
Re: the Geek thread, yeah, we might need a Geek Shit 2.0 thread. That one is starting to take forever.

The first T-Cell was setup as invitation only except that once a member anybody could invite somebody else. Expulsion was accomplished through a “tribunal” whereby a cell member would initiate a tribunal against another member and the other members voted on whether the tribunaled member should stay or go.
That was good for about 3 days until an explosion of members and tribunals caused the cell to degenerate into a thoroughgoing soap opera that a third grade playground would have been a welcome break from. Some were even creating additional accounts and inviting themselves in so that when their original one was tribunaled they remained able to exact revenge with the new account.
There are now 4 “sheriffs” Professor X, Aragorn, MaloneTD and myself who are charged with inviting all members and recommending to TC those who should be removed. As far as I know none of us asked for the position, TC asked me and I accepted. I don’t think they ever told us exactly what criteria they used in making those selections, but us four wound up doing it.
While nothing is ever perfect, this arrangement has allowed the T-Cell to be much more successful than version 1.
During the election I got embroiled in the PWI forum (against my better judgment), but am back to paying closer attention to the other forums now

It doesn’t work. See, he’s busy all day wiring people jaws back together and its made him too serious. People that are too serious don’t understand the true value that trolls bring to forums like this.
Most of the real chuckles you all have had have been the result of good trolling. Like the guy with the fig leaf, Cut or Bulk…or The Legal Cockblock.

There is a Union Club where I live. It’s a club for the big movers and shakers in the city. A place they get together and make things move and shake things up.
If I want to get into this club I need to make something out of myself. Start a corporation or get elected. Well it will be a cold day in hell before that happens. Which means I have absolutely nothing to contribute to the members.
It’s the same with T-Cell Alpha. I’ve lifted weight for over thirty years. Non-Pro body building and powerlifting. Now I us weights to acheive excellence in other sports.
I’m not a serious body builder or powerlifter. Thirty years of lifting does not mean I belong in T-Cell Alpha. If I get serious with my lifting as a sole sport. I would ask to get in, but I’m not so why would I want in.
I would think people would use T-Cell Alpha as a goal. Something to work toward, a reason to drive harder. Then, once in you know you have acheived a goal and are now recognized by other serious lifters as a serious lifter.
If I wanted in T-Cell Alpha. I would be in, because I would be as dedicated as the rest. My 2 cents.

Yeah, I was invited in and some point this summer, and when I actually went to go make a snarky comment on their a week or two ago I couldn’t. I just assumed I had been tribunaled while enjoying my offline life.
