T-Cell Alpha: What's Different?

Chris Shugart Sucks!,
You don’t train like me…You Suck!
Your goals are different than mine…You Suck!
Since your methodology is different…You Suck.
Tribunal him!!
We’re HARDCORE!!!
MUST…MAINTAIN…T-CELL…PURITY!!

Like a bunch of toy dogs, pissing on fire hydrants and yapping about nothing.

It all reads like a bad high school play.
Sad.

The only real “contributions” from the “T-Nation Demi-Gods” are to stroke each others egos and fight to maintain the purity in their “Mt. Olympus” of useless banter.

WTF Ever!

To paraphrase George Orwell:
“All animals equal, but some animals are more equal than others.”

Well I’ll get my ass out in the barn while the “Best-minds” on T-Nation play up on their mountain top.

You have 18 posts but you look like a long time customer. If you care about the forums and want to improve then post quality stuff.

Holy shit…

Sour grapes much?

No, it would be “Sour Grapes” if I felt I wanted to be part of it but was being excluded.

But having been a member for a number of years,I have read how almost every thread eventually spirals out of control into chaos and name calling.

I would rather spend what little free time I have training, reading, or since I’m in Cali right know, mountain-biking.

Throughout the years I have read and despite the tone of my last post do repect the different methodologies Prof X, Rainjack, etc, etc.

Their goals are not mine, their methods are not mine. I respect their choices, but don’t feel the need to justify mine.

I know what works for me.

The reason I wrote what I did wasn’t to be a bomb thrower, but to say “Hey it all works on some level for some people, but let’s talk about how we take it to the next level. How we get from ordinary to extraordinary.”

T-Cell should be like the Manhattan Project, where all the best minds can get together and have healthy positive debates, bounce ideas off each other and focus on Bodybuilding questions.

I agree it shouldn’t be a place for questions like:
Gee, should I use creatine?
What’s the difference between CKD and Atkins?
etc,etc…

But from what I’ve read, it’s who can tear who apart and jump on every point like a Lawyer.

Not to sound all rainbows and puppy dogs, but can’t you do better?

Oh and about “fixing my image”(tee hee)
Grow up.

It’s still about 6 billion…maybe even 7 billion times better than the bodybuilding forum. Have you seen the topics in there?

I have and it’s sad, but like the old saying:
“In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king”.

That’s why I don’t post, 99% of the time it becomes a pissing match with some 18 y/o newb that read some BS article in Men’s Health or Muscle and Fiction.

Nobody wants to put the time in,they all want the “Magic Bullet”.

I think it was Prof. X that said(and I’m paraphrasing)Go out there and just do it, if it works great, if not, do something else.

I could start some post with:
“I’ve been using Vanadyl Sulfate and ALA to drop into ketosis, I can now deglycogenate my liver in 2 days!”

Some punk-ass 18 year old will just start spouting crap without even knowing what the hell I’m even talking about.

It’s like panning for gold here anymore, eventually you can pick up a fleck of gold here and there, but it’s few and far between the big nuggets.

How many gold pieces do you think there are?

The basics are damned simple and always have been. Most of the people even discussing these hyper-specifics don’t need to. I could see if most here were 250lbs strongmen but the average trainer here probably doesn’t even look like they lift and many here DON’T EVEN FUCKING WORK OUT.

People like that don’t need to spend several pages discussing “insulin sensitivity” or debating about specific rep ranges. They need to quit talking and get in the damned gym.

This site was losing ground fast about a year or two ago. The addition of the T-Cell has actually ended much of that…so what do you really have a problem with?

That we don’t sing Kumbaya and hug in every post?

That Shugart thread has been read over 28,000 fucking times so SOMEBODY is interested in what is going on no matter how much people bitch.

How about you simply work on making this site more “hardcore” and quit worrying about whether we all want to kiss each other.

Wow an audience with the man himself!

Kumbaya? I was thinking Michael Row the Boat Ashore myself.

Seriously, some guy with Polquin certification gets in and offers advice, and people just start bagging on him…WTF.

Polquin isn’t god, but he gets results.Do I agree with everything he writes hell no. He wrote that “gain an inch on your arm in a day piece” back in MM2K.

So his way isn’t your way, isn’t my way, should we tear him apart, or take what we can use and throw the rest away.

I agree T-Nation has made the big backslide, but how do you make it “hardcore”, tell other people to STFU?
Tell them to stop posting, get off the internet and get their asses to the gym?

Or say, I just got off a 6 week periodization routine, the next 6 weeks I am going to try X,Y,Z.

Yes you are right, there are very few Eureka moments, but we still need to sort out the good from the bad.

But trash talking people isn’t “Hardcore”, it’s just a waste of precious time better spent in the gym.

And about the Chris Shugart thing, what was productive there? People got to talk shit in the open about him. Who cares how many people read it. People like watching car accidents too, does that make them cool?

There was blood in the water and all the sharks came out to play.

Not impressed my friend.

Exactly why there is a cell. I just added you because you look like you care about quality of posts and it looks like you are a longtime Biotest user even if you do not post much.

Don’t post there if you don’t want to.

Exactly, what the fuck are you talking about. Telling some guy that body fat placement is not a clinically sound method of determining hormonal profiles is not “bagging on them”. I could care less about his credentials. I personally am not that impressed but I understand why you and others may be. I would be impressed if a cardiologist decided to join us, not another personal trainer.

Thank you,
I don’t have an axe to grind with anyone but anger and personal attacks are like cancer.

I just think that if you want to convert more people, you can’t eat the young.

Don’t tell them what to do, show them.
Will 99% of them get it? Probably not, but that 1% will keep real bodybuilding alive.

Lead by example,

It isn’t 'Nuff said because people read these threads BECAUSE of the writing style. Does this really need an explanation?

People who are truly going to stick with this for years have the balls to not run away with their tail between their legs at the slightest hint of opposition. 99% of the people don’t even have that in them to start with so why would the goal be to incorporate EVERYONE?

Wouldn’t an endocrinlogist be better?
Why are you so angry?
He has information, I’ll listen to it.
If I like it I’ll try it.

If it sucks, I won’t.

But he was contributing.

Why a cardiologist? Maybe so we can optimize our peripheral vascular resistance increasing blood to our muscles.
Or maybe something to do Left Ventricular Ejection Fractions…hmm.

I care as much about his credentials as yours. But he had a good attitude, and didn’t feel the need to crap on anyone else.

If you don’t agree, good. But other people should have the ability agree or disagree without personal attacks.

Do hormones determine adipose partitioning?
Maybe, maybe not.
Is Super-string theory better than quantum mechanics?
Maybe,maybe not.
But they are all theories.
Our role is to prove or disprove them.
Not drop a deuce everytime someone has a new one.
Be the scientist, be the explorer.
It’s the journey not the destination.
Peace.

You either haven’t read that thread all of the way through, or misinterpreted what actually happened.

I don’t care if 1 person or a million people read what I write.

Everybody is searching for something.

You know me as well as I know you.

I don’t care what people think about me.
I’m not trying to leave a legacy for tomorrow.

Bodybuilding is pain, boybuilding is adversity, bodybuilding never being satisfied with where you are.

Is it for everyone…no.
But screaming at everyone who differs in opinions is like screaming at the moon.

Doesn’t change a damn thing.

Screaming? I don’t CARE what your own motivations are and not one person was even called any names in that whole thread so what the hell are you talking about?

LIST the damn insults that you are still harping on. If you can’t, then please shut up.

It doesn’t matter.
This has seriously wasted too much time already.
I’m not going to sit here and waste my day splitting hairs over “intentions” or “meanings”.

Have a good day Professor X,

I’m in SoCal, the sun is shining, I go home in 3 weeks.

Maybe we can chat another day.

Wow, I had really hoped that the T-Cell thread would be the end of this, but I guess not. Look, sometimes people on the internet are, wait for it, Assholes. Even people who are normally nice, and take time to explain things get tired of it after a while. It’s human, it happens, and not being face to face often amplifies the problem.

I think both Prof X and LaRoyal are extremely knowledgeable, and have a ton of experiance, so it’s not suprise that when they disagree, things are going to get heated. If I had to guess, I’d be willing to bet that the two of them could sit down face to face and have a moderately civil discussion, but take away the verbal and visual cues, and remove all social pressure, and shit happens.

As far as X knows, LaRoyal is just another idiot asking the same questions that have been asked over and over again, and from LaRoyal’s point of view, I’m sure that X came across as an abrasive blowhard. Hopefully now that those illusions have been forcefully disabused, can we please let this die and move on with our lives?

Come on, guy. You walk into the thread, crap all over the T-Cell and then sign off your posts with “Peace” and “Namaste” with a friggin’ Buddha avatar as if all is well with the world and you are above the fray? Good Lord - you are STARTING the fray.
